As hard as it is to believe, some people do use "hypothesis" in normal conversation.

dude u need to use ur normal voice cuz that tone of voice was so fake and pretentious. don't use the word hypothesis just to sound smart u were using it when it didn't have any place in what u were saying. also don't just say yea to everything cuz you were saying it when it just sounded so out of place be an active listener not some doormat. Good questions but come on dude were u star struck or something? I liked when Brian asked if u guys had ever kissed a girl cuz thats what I was thinking the whole time.

OK, listened to the Jay/Brian interview section of the potcast now; I liked it. They pretty much answer all the questions regarding the setlist selection (again) here. For the "vocal" guys who are a bit tired of the live standards, they'll "play Pessimistic Lines or God Song" - good idea Brian, please resurrect Pessimistic Lines next year in Germany as an encore and let me sing it again! Ha!
Oh, and play INTO THE NIGHT! Hahaha!

The Prodigal Son,
my "Crack Hitler" comment was supposed to be a joke. But in case you've never listened to any music by Faith No More before, be warned that they are not a punkrock band at all. They were the forefathers of current crossover bands like System Of A Down - only MUCH better. Maybe you should start with Faith No More's breakthrough album The Real Thing - Angel Dust is very hard to swallow for an uninitiated listener...

I have never listened to the BP podcast, but so far one comment if the creator reads here, you sound like you're reading a script or something. Your tone of voice just makes it sound kinda weird. just trying to offer some feedback.

I had a feeling the band didn't like a lot of the songs on New Maps of Hell. They haven't been playing a lot of it live.

"If I owned a Bad Religion album with "High Hitler" as one of the soundtracks I would just die."
Go to the next record store and buy the Faith No More album Angel Dust. It features a song called Crack Hitler. You probably won't die, but maybe you'll fall into a coma. Or a headache at the minimum...

Just a thought... Isn't Bad Religion Day coming up soon? I'm pretty sure it's the 1st or 2nd week in November. Anyone doing anything special?

Now I just want to hear that song that Jay was talking about from the early 90's that they decided not to do. "High Hitler" would be an awesome song! I'm not at all anti-semetic but man, that just makes such a bichin song name. If I owned a Bad Religion album with "High Hitler" as one of the soundtracks I would just die. I think you should have asked something about that song!

Maybe Greg was trying to write a Brett song just like John Lennon and Paul McCartney tried to write songs in the style of each other.

Yes both lyrics and music are more brett-ish in my opinion.

One suggestion Mike - be more responsive to their answers. Lots of the stuff they said could've spawned other interesting questions (You definitely did a much better job than the first Jay interview though). An example off the top of my head is when you asked about the song 'New Chapter' and did a good followup question and they were talking about how it had 'editing issues' - they continued talking about editing issues briefly and mentioned the issue was 'sort of like the before you die issue' but Jay was happy with the way it turned out. Obviously something with the song didn't go as planned, and I think it would've been interesting to hear what the issue was.
Anyway, great job. I believe I hinted at the idea to interview them during the tour. I also got to meet the band (but don't carry professional audio equipment). Glad they were so welcoming and it's just more proof of what a great band they are and what a great history they have.

Good interview. I felt like it was more like an open book rather than dont wanna give out too much information.
Good job hands down but you shoulda waited to see what jay said was his favorite album was instead of cutting him off

I nearly shat when I heard them say they'd do a Suffer/No Control show... seriously, why not do something that the fans would go crazy for? Because they physically CAN'T, so they joke about it and tease us. fuck, I'd kill to see that show... no kidding... K-I-L-L
