Yeah, listening to the bootleg, the quality is much better than it has been made out to be. All of the songs are recognizable, which is better than can be said for my attempt to record a show with a digital voice recorder. Thanks again for this.

Anyone notice that not a lot of people were singing along to the old stuff... but the when they play the common stuff the whole crowd sings... Oh and I agree that screaming 15 years old girl is very annoying.

Well, I just have the voice recorder because that's what I use it as... a voice recorder... I was going to take my video camera inside, but that of course wouldn't work with HOB security.

I think you may just need to get a better recorded. Those voice recorders are not very good at all. I've had great success with an Zoom Handy H2 Recorder, which I got for about $200. It's a bit more pricey (and bigger) than a voice recorder, but the quality is a lot better.

Hey people, I recorded the show with a voice recorder Olympus VN-4100 PC with an additional ME-52W microphone, in XHQ-quality (which is the highest of 4 available qualities of that machine), volume 20 (of 30). I downloaded the file to the PC with the "Olympus Digital Wave Plkayer", which is the software that comes with the machine. WAV is the original format.
During the show I was standing directly behind the front of house board, with the microphone sticking out of my front pocket.
Any ideas on how to get a better recording next time are appreciated, will see them when they come over in summer...

I was at this show...it was fucking awesome....best I've ever seen BR and the early songs, as you can hear, sound fantastic and Greg got the youthful rage out perfectly. The irritating part about this bootleg is the crowd is too loud and the really stupid fucking girl screeching after every song.

Oh and it sounds better playing it in winamp with the bass frequenties ("60" and "170")all up.

Also did you record with MAX line out volume? if so might wanna redo it to get it so people can edit it. Right now in a sound editing program the signal is so tightly packed that the peaks get clipped.
this usually happens when the volume is set to high when recording to pc ... but it can happen at the venue itself due to massive sound.. but im guessing the first one.
Its actually not bad for what it is.. but without knowledge of its original format I cant help it any.. seems to me its cutting out alot.

What was its original format? maybe I can help it if I had lossless unless it came precompressed. Dont want to know how you people are recording! 55mb for a wav is pretty small.. and the signal is weak.. just wondering if you tried to rip this from avi video or something. Maybe a cellphone? lol
