Update: "News From the Front of the Pit" - March 29th bootleg recorded by Mike from the Bad Religion Podcast. This is the highest quality that my portable mp3 player was able to record to. There is no lossless or higher bitrate MP3 version. Unfortunately the recorder has a pretty low maximum volume tolerance, so some portions of songs sound pretty bad. But overall it is at least listenable, and some of the slower and acoustic songs sound decent enough.
It was pretty amazing, especially Fields of Mars live, which they did some really cool lighting, where it was like "high above the fields of MAAA(its like, red)AAAAAA(fades to orange)AAARS(fades to blue)"
Have the whole show, but thats probably the best part, and the only part worthwhile, but I'll upload the rest later.
Also, I met up with Ikillkenny, and he recorded the show too, so that may turn out better.
Also some guy came up to them and showed his Suffer tattoo, after they played suffer, and Graffin was like "that is spelled with 1 f", and Jay was like "no, it says surfer"

Lol, I saw that guy at the vegas show taking pictures, but wasn't sure if it was Hetson or not. My question was answered when he started taking pictures when Bad Religion was playing.

no excuses.. get that vid up.. br really has no care, the tour is over.. lets ride. Did you meet dj farley from san diego? looks like hetson in a way.. but has a camera.. he got awesome shots.. I will be contacting alot of people the next few days. I got massive info for all but only some things are fan ready.. many clips ... many many pictures and asssloads of new friends.. Ed to bad you only got side stage shots! darn backs! I wanna sees fronts! Still kick arse tho... Anyone not catch the 6ths opening when all the girls and bruce the stagemanger had the instruments? photographer JK aka julie aka Skittles got loads of photos.. and so did I!!! wee more to come I soo promise. Its like sorting through a desk that has papers strewn across it.. more in the next thread! |

Hey Ed, if you're worried about breaking copywrite or something then don't worry about it. The band said something to the effect of "We don't mind people sharing live bootlegs of our shows, as long as they don't do it for profit". They also said something about if you DO share for profit, they'd like you to give some of the proceeds to charity.
Or something like that. I think their exact words are on this site somewhere. If your reasons for not posting the other stuff you have are due to HoB or something then it's cool, I understand. :) |

I went to the 4th, 11th, 14th, and 16th in LA. In Anaheim I went to 1st, 26th and I'll be going this Friday. I am fortunate to know many of the staff at the Hollywood HOB. So I was able to get wristbands to the VIP lounge. I pretty much got a change to talk with them all at one point. Like you guys, we too would rather chat with them. We even had a camera and did not ask for any pictures to be taken. I have one picture with Jay from about a year ago. Thats good enough for me.

first time i saw br was in 99 in santa monica, at the civic center. saw them there again just last year. i didn't get into them until 11th grade actually. shoot, i barely even got into music until summer after 9th grade. but yeah, good times since.

(i'll start) i mentioned i first saw them in 2000 but, interesting story, i was actually going to see them in 95(as an 11 year old) when they were supposed to open up for Pearl Jam(parents took me and my older brother down to SD for this, such great immigrant parents). Although, that didnt happen because Graffin got sick so the Ramones opened up(win win???i was actually really pissed, but not so much now). Anyway, dont get me wrong, i've liked them since 93, and was only able to see them live in 2000 b/c they were in my hometown and i was 16/able to drive.

i was at the 8th, 11th, 12th and the 22nd in ventura.
8th-i was at the back by the bar(b/c i came all by myself...sad...fucking friends didnt want to drive to LA with me). 11th and 12th i was right up front but a layer or two behind the railing. And about being starstuckness, i feel the same way. the first time i saw these guys was in 2000 and i had my Gray Race cover with me to get it signed, and i did, by Bobby, Jay and Brian. and now i look at it years later thinking to myself "what the fuck am i going to do with this?" if i wanted to i can attend Graffins class and get his signature on a graded paper if i like, but what the fuck will i do with that!? I rather converse. when and where was the first time you saw these guys? |

i went to six of the LA shows. march 4, 5, 11, 12, 15 and 16. i was usually around the front of the pit, either side. wore either a red shirt, orange shirt, or an obama yellow shirt. ha, obviously i like red.
how did you meet the br guys? they seemed to just jet after the last song. it's not that i'm super starstruck so much as i do think it'd be cool to chat with em sometime, talk to then guy behind the music a bit. |

How many Hollywood shows were you guys at? I went to four and we were right in the very front 3 of the times. In between Jay and Greg. After the show Brian told us thanks for knowing every single lyric and helping him out. I'm thinking you guys were close by.

Keevhren, no hat? i purchased a black cap with the cross buster logo on the left side of the front. best 20 bucks i ever spent. to bad i cant wear it, because i am of brown colored skin, east indian descent and we are at war where religion is a factor and the white town i live in (ventura) is a town where people are..how we say...nutter-butters. i dont know what that means so, oh well.

Pretty much with my recordings, do what you want with them, just please give me credit for them. |

They seemed to have a decent number of shirts. I bought a tour shirt and I saw other people wearing the songs shirt, so I assume they still had those as well. I didn't see any posters for sale, although that doesn't mean there weren't any.

in hob anaheim they not only wand ya they pad ya down a little, and make you lift your shirt and check your belt, pocket and socks for anything

One was thrown out of sunset for recording video... many from anahiem just for taking pictures! see ya! so yes.. it really IS that bad here. Great to know not all hob are like this just ones in LA.. SD seemed pretty laxed too.. either way im glad you got it! just dont tell us what LA is like until you come here and say.. holy shit.. you were right!! we have no reason to lie here... if we could get a boot we would. :) Thanks again man! |

Yeah, I recorded the show as torbar said. I didn't want to bring my good, big recorder in (although I probably could have, you guys who complain about HoB security are really exagerating), so I just got it on my mp3 player. The quality is not very good, but it's listenable, especially on quieter or slower songs. I'll be uploading that later this week some time.
By the way, whoever recorded with an iPod, let me know what model of iPod you had. My 3G (and Torbar's 3G also had this problem) stops recording after a certain time period (9 minutes on the lowest setting) and you have to restart the whole thing. |
