Sorrow isn't a weird song at all to end with(All 5 or so Bad Religion shows I've gone to they've closed with it) and Digital Boy isn't really a weird song to start with.
IMO, best song to start a show with is Fuck Armageddon because of that long intro, or Sinister Rouge with Overture.
Best song to end with is American Jesus because of the ending they put on it live, and also it's a song almost everybody knows.

The sound was really good in front, but I've heard some people complaining about it that where standing in the back.
@Part III: please keep a spot safe from me ;), I've got a test (*tentamen*) till 17 in Groningen 0_0 really awful.
@Tommy: yep! Hij heeft inderdaad op de popacademie gezeten, maar hij studeert nu American Studies, daar ken ik 'm ook van. Als je me toevoegt op hyves kan je als het goed is wel de foto's zien.

I gotta be honest.. the sound on that fucking stage at Pinkpop was AWFUL. You could hardly hear Gregg over the loud guitars, let alone Jay en Hetson. Their voices were nowhere to be found in the mix.
Is it just me or is this ALWAYS a problem at BR shows? I mean, I saw other shows at the same stage and the backup vocals were just fine. Does BR have their own sound technician or something that regularly seems to screw up?
At least I was able to get the deluxe New Maps of Hell at the festival with the extra MySpace show DVD. If you thought their Palladium DVD was very low volume-wise, this DVD brings it to new lows. The sound is also very muffled without any high tones.
So after ripping the DVD, normalizing the volume and adding some extra high frequencies to the sound, I finally got me a nice sounding live DVD of Bad Religion.

Are you going to the Amsterdam show?
And yes that deluxe version of NMOH is so cool, I love the picture with the YouDon'tBelong guy!

I really love the acoustic songs, its better than the two that came with the Japanese version. The artwork, and everything you get with it is better than I expected. Im globally checking the DVD now, even though I dont have the time to do so hehe. Honest Goodbye's video is just a live performance with the audio dub under it, sadly. I think thats the only think thats a bit disappointing. All in all, most definitely worth the purchase.

not surprising. Brett actually heard those covers and said that most BR songs were written on piano and sounded a lot like what they did. Its due to the standard way of progressing the chords on piano.

PartIII, thanks so much for sharing this with us. I've only listened to Won't Somebody, Adam's Atoms, Sorrow and Skyscraper, but I gotta say it's the best BR release since Process of Belief. I too was thinking they should just go acoustic only, haha. I mean, I'm really looking forward to hearing a punk version of Won't Somebody, but the acoustic is fine if they feel they're no longer able to cope with the fast-paced punk, haha.
Thanks again dude.

Anyway, off to Play.com to buy it!

I hear what yer saying. However, these version are better than the ones they played at KROQ. The new songs sound like songs that just work way better acoustically. Anyways, I'll let you decide for yourself, Im uploading it right now. It has the m4a itunes extention, Im sorry for that, I dont have the time to rip it otherwise -college duties-.

i think "sorrow" is not a song to end a show with.. i think is a good song for the middle of the show for the crowd to get some air for 3 or 4 minutes and then go on.. i believe "fuck armageddon.." is the BEST song to end up a show.. a great song to leave the crowd wanting more ;)
ahh something else.. why the fuck do they sometimes begin with american jesus??? last time they were here (Argentina) they started with that one.. when everybody was "cold" yet... change that guys! that?s not a song to begin a show with!!!

i think "sorrow" is not a song to end a show with.. i think is a good song for the middle of the show for the crowd to get some air for 3 or 4 minutes and then go on.. i believe "fuck armageddon.." is the BEST song to end up a show.. a great song to leave the crowd wanting more ;)
ahh something else.. why the fuck do they sometimes begin with american jesus??? last time they were here (Argentina) they started with that one.. when everybody was "cold" yet... change that guys! that?s not a song to begin a show with!!! |

"requiem for a dream? wow! did they actually play the whole movie?
" hehe, i hope it was the uncut version. i think sorrow is a perfect song to end, it just works live, and people also know that the show is over...

As far as I can remember they have ended shows with Sorrow before and it seems a pretty cool way to end a show with.
