Show was really really great, so much better than Pinkpop. It has been 3 years since I saw them in a venue! 4 encore songs is great, I never heard of more than 3.. And the show itself was fun too, Jay was really rockin :) and ofcourse it was cool to see some people from here again!

I think Man with a mission is a fabulous song from a fabulous album. It's a little coutryish with its slide guitar. Guess it's just me being coutryish.

I don't remember 'Fast Life' in Austin, but that certainly doesn't mean they didn't do it. I only just now remembered that I met Bobby after that show. My brain is failing me...Speaking of the Atlantic days, when 'No Substance' came out I was still trying to get into it when the tour came through, and I remember Graffin being really cheesy with the song intros and especially the "K-k-k-KILLAH!" I'll bet I didn't listen to 'NoSub' again until 'Process' came out because of that. However, New America songs translated live way, way better. Fun fun fun.

Any videos or mp3s? The last ten songs where really magical. Melkweg was nice, especially the sound was excellent.
Does anyone really like Man With A Mission? I really think it's one of their worst songs (from their better albums), althought it's hundred times better live. Guess it's just me.

another standard BR setlist + a few songs
as for the rare stuff.. the socal tour by far had more interesting setlists. Also in 99 and 00 BR played some rare shows randomly (even the blink 182 opening where they did play TONS of new america stuff)
one of my fav shows was reno..bobby was still there and spitting heavily. They played almost every bside and old rare song they could think of..if anyone finds reno boots lemme know :P

At the "free show" (I say that sarcastically, because it wasn't free for everyone) in Austin at Stubbs during the NA tour, they also played "The Fast Life." I almost poopied my pants when they did that.

Them starting with Don't Sell Me Short would've been insane to see live. I envy those who witnessed this.

I was there yesterday. I posted a link in the sharing club with a couple of videos. It was fun. except for the set list. I wished they'd play some New America stuff, but I know they hate it and don't play it. So I didn't get my hopes up. I loved the way Brooks looked clapping his hands in the intro of fuck Armageddon. Because I hate the clapping.
And against the grain is a good opener.

Kyoto Now!, 21st century Boy, Overture/Sinister, Recepe For Hate, Fuck Armageddon, and American Jesus have been the songs ive seen then open with in the last few years. Fuck Armageddon and Kyoto are my faces for openers cause of their buildups.

I can see how 'Digital Boy' might be considered a bad opener, given the tempo and it's lack of build-up drama (it's just "juh juh juh juh JUh JUh Juh I Can't Belieeeeve it..."). 'Overture' was a great way to take the stage, and finally gave BR a cool Ramones-esque 'Durango 95' kind of thing. Let's face it, 'Digital Boy is ALWAYS going to get played. It's a huge song for them, and TO THEIR GREAT CREDIT, eschewing the power opener in favor of putting other less-predictable fan favorites at the end of the setlist is a brilliant move. As it stands it's a terrific idea, and if they were to rework the 'Digitial Boy' intro (a-la'Generator') it could revitalize the song for even the most die-hard of us. These set lists say to me that the band is thinking more about their shows and working together better on the live product than they have in some time.

Yeah, thats a wierd one to start off with. I've always wondered about Infected as an ender... they say they play songs the band wants to play, but if I remember correctly Greg usually made fun of the lyrics when Brett wasn't in the band... always seemed kinda slow to end the show... I know its the most known single, but in my opinion its one of the most boring.

Great show, definitely better than Stockholm 2005. Set list could have been better but I don't really care. Struck a Nerve is AWESOME.
Digital Boy is a crappy opener if you ask me, they should start with something faster.
