y'know I liked these guys before I knew that it was Graffins kid. Some poeple hold them so high cause Grahams father is lead for Bad Religion. I dont even think about that when I lestin to them, there pretty good, still trying to find there own sound and place in New York. Just try and listen to them without putting them up against Bad Religion. [and if you dont put them up against BR good for you]
Try and think "The Rolemodels" and not "Grag Graffins kid's band"

Not only does he sound like his dad at that age, but the band sounds like his dad's band at that age, by that I mean their best material is ahead of them.

@Homer: I don't think anyone's necessarily creaming their proverbial pants over this because it's good, but because they think it's (for lack of a better term) "cute" that Graffin's kid is in a punk band--which is probably going to hinder him in the long run. They sound like all the local bands in my town, and they all sound pretty... formulaic. But who knows? They could grow out of it.

He does sound a bit like Greg - or may be that's my undiscerning understanding of American accents. And, "The Rolemodels" is quite a clever name in the vain of teen-irony. Still, it's a bit of a shame they haven't adopted their own 'lyrical opinion', "Everywhere I look, everybody says the same" (from 'They're all the Same'), in regards to writing unique punk songs. You'd think with G. Graffin just a call away they could develop themselves an interesting niche. Nevertheless, being Graffin's son can only be an advantage - the band must have copious contacts and an inherent local reputation. Good luck to them!

It would have been radder if he were in a jazz fusion band. Honestly though, this band reminds me of one of our local bands, but without the political conviction.

almost every one in that band is off beat from time to time and Im sorry, but the vocals... meah. And to answer your "omg show us other kids that do the same them" thing, here:
http://www.youtube.com/ watch?v=jaSpocFx_MY&feature=related
.
Yeah, I know the kids, although I must agree, their drum isnt much, and the vocalist had a style make-over that he really shouldnt have done. They're actually younger than 16 btw. Why are you feeling attacked by the fact that I dont think Greg's son makes good music?

@Part III: For what they are, they're pretty good! You go gather a bunch of 16-year-olds that only occasionally hang out to make music, record better stuff than this and then come back here...

I wonder if this was recorded in Greg's basement (where he recorded Tested B-sides and American Lesion). How old is Graham anyways... must be 16 or 17 now?

Looks a little like Greg.....wonder if him and his dad are close. Must be odd having people constantly saying how much they love your dad's music....but I guess he must be used to it. Sounds pretty good.

Sounds like any other east coast band lyrically. Too much use of the f word and completely unintelligent. Fuck this and fuck that, it's been done to death by every other dumb punk bands who spends too much time doing drugs, drinking, and blaming their problems on someone else to be socially aware or learn something. I guess the culprit is age and immaturity on this one though. Can't say the same for bands like the Casualties, Global Threat, or The Unseen.
