This article is not consistent, and that's what I hate about it. At one point it makes good sense, but then towards the end it becomes hypocritical. "It means communitsts working with anarchists?" Both groups encorporate marxist ideals! "Angelicans marching beside kids who listen to Bad Religion?" Who is this person to judge!? And why is she gung - ho about diversity and human rights? Can she effectively conceptualize those terms? Sounds like she just wanted to shock people.

Katie is absolutely right. I was going to do a full blown response, but she put it so perfectly. Thanks for that, Katie :-)
PS: Thanks to Kristoffer for posting that quote. I'm glad it sparked some conversation.

I gotta agree to an extent with Robert, although I think the author of the article was just using random examples to prove his point.
I don't think that certain groups should be expected to be against the war in Iraq. I mean just because you consider yourself punk doesn't mean you should automatically think, "Well then that must mean I'm against the war!" Nor should people who listen to BR automatically become atheists, or even agnostic for that matter. That's not what the band wants. Personally, I believe in a Creator, although I'm still trying figure things out for myself as far as spirituality and religion goes...
Anyway, I just think people need to start thinking more for themselves. Too many kids base their political/religious/social/etc. opinions on things other than their OWN thoughts.

so really, since it is stating opposites, that is marking all people who listen to bad religion as anti-anglican and or anti-religion... what bullshit, i know there are tons of people who believe in god who love bad religion, i dont happen to be one (atheist) but i mean, to group that as a generality is complete crap... whoever wrote that should be forced to retire or just plain out live in solitude for their narrowmindedness
