He hates drop D tuning(tuning down the low E string to a D), he likes open C tuning but doesn't really play any Bad Religion in that tuning.
BR plays in Eb Tuning(each string is tuned down half a step).

If you go to you tube and look up the guitar lessons that Brian has on there, in one of the 3 part series, he says he hates drop d tuning. He likes to tune down the 5th string.

anechoic nebula; yeah you might be right. I listened to a bootleg and it was in Eb. I think Brian hates playing in "Drop D". (with only the e string tuned down a whole step) I never read anything about him hating to play in D. But Greg Graffin acoustic seems to really lower tracks. Like dearly beloved and Sorrow are very much lower sounding than the originals.

The Offspring aren't that good live though-not as good as BR anyway. I used to have a live Offspring recording and the singing was subpar, despite being in the original tuning.

come on, guys. You can't call the Offspring one of the worst bands ever. I know about a million bands that I hate more. Sometimes I even listen to Americana and Conspiracy of one. And by the way, Dexter can still sing all of his songs in the original tunings of the albums. Bad Religion has it's guitars tuned in D instead of E and that takes away a lot of energy from the songs. When I heard hammerhead on Kroq I was pleasantly surprised that this old band still sounds that fresh.
So now everybody can kill me for liking the Offspring

So, who's heard The Offspring's new album? Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace? Yeah, it's a pretty good album. I liked it. I also very much love the albums Ignition, Self Titled, and even Smash! Splinter was good too, except for a couple of songs.
Anyways, the point I'm making is that it is in fact YOU GUYS who are the douche bags. You haven't met the man, and since most of you are citing their SINGLES for reference is enough to believe you've never listened to their music.

I don't think Graffin got his award just because he's a musician and has a PhD. What's important is that he writes songs about the same stuff he studies/teaches and so he mixes his academic career and his music very well. I can't really see what Original Prankster or Pretty fly (or any of their more serious song for that matter) has to do with academic sciences.

@diegohosen: No, 'cause Dexter doesn't have one. He went to USC (ha, no wonder Graffin is a fan of his), but dropped out when Smash exploded. Just because he's an "asshole" doesn't mean he didn't go. Also, Milo Aukerman should get a lot more recognition than he currently gets. He's awesome.

Spill them beans if you had listened to the whole thing you would have realized that the song Sorrow has to do with humanism which is something he supports and talked about during this, therefore it makes perfect sense to play it. Also I agree that Milo Auckerman should also be recognized for his academic achievements but Dexter Holland doesn't neccesarily fit in there since he doesn't have a Phd like Greg and Milo. In conclusion, fuck Dexter Holland.

This was painful to listen to. The homo from Harvard should have his fruity brains blown out. The fag who followed also sounded like someone dumped a basket of dicks down his throat. All these guys are gushing over Greg cuz they think its so amazing that a rockstar does something in the field of academics. Whoop-d shit. Where are the awards for Milo Aukerman or Dexter Holland? Seriously, these kids sound like they just struck gold by discovering him. So I skipped forward through this trainwreck and surprise surprise, more kids who were dropped on their heads as infants are talking about the similarities between atheists and those of faith...YAWN! greg plays Acoustic Sorrow, like that has anything to do with anything. Anyone gonna back me up that just cuz this is news that involves Greg, it doesn't neccesarily make it interesting? Here's a news flash thats more captivating. Everyone in Bad Religion took a shit today, But Greg's smelled better cuz he's a scientist whos in a rock band.

Well if this was a radio recording 64 is the best youll get.. even if you changed it higher it will still hold the lesser quality.
ive seen videos on youtube and so far none are complete nor in decent enough quality to bother with. Why is youtube so popular.. sigh..the same FLV even in myspace vid looks twice as good. DOH

There's vids on youtube, but the audio isn't as loud.
On the other hand the download here has good audio at a really bad bitrate.
I'm not an audiophile, but 64k is a bit low to listen to. I'll take it though! :P
