After posting the watchmojo! videos last week, many people wondered whether Bad Religion was going to record a new album or not. Fortunately Jay could tell us more right here on The Bad Religion Page!
We already knew that there was going to be a show in Japan in April 2009, but next year there's also the Warped Tour again from late June till August. And once again they will be going down under by the end of September or October!
So basically the new album won't be released before 2010.
Here are Jay's exact words:
"graffin teaches jan / feb / mar..
japan early april
warped tour late june / july / aug
australia end of sept / oct
so there is really only nov / dec left for recording. there isn't much material as of now, but we could probably guess with 99% certainty that we will be working on new material for 2010.
30 years... seems cool"

ok this is in no way suppose to be mean towards robo pilgrim. I just thought it was pretty funny that you're lecturing someone on grammer and then you go on to spell PUNCTUATION wrong... haha anyway i'm excited for St. patricks dat and warped tour, bad religion is by far my favorite band of all time! |

we need more Bad Religion down under, or even get Greg in for a guest lecture at USYD haha! Too bad he doesnt teach what I study otherwise I would have tried for it already..
They neglected us for 15 years, and made it up in 2. Awesome! Super stoked! |

I'm positively giddy with excitement, but I also appreciate that keeping my grammar under control, i.e not using capitals and using puntuation marks one at a time, makes my comments more readable. |

I'm glad to hear that the album is confirmed but I was sort of expecting it closer to summer '09 for some reason. I also can't wait to hear the punk'd up versions of those new acoustic songs, especially Chronophobia (if they make it on there that is).

Thank for the GREAT ANSWER JAY, i nned the NEW ALBUM like you in2009,but i agrree with JAY because 2010 is a LEGENDARY DATE FOR THE LEGENDARY BAND:30 YEARS,DEFNITELY THE NEW ALBUM IN 2010 IS FANTASTIC,AND I THINK THAT THIS NEW ALBUM WILL BE LEGENDARY:REMEMBER ALBUM+30 ANNIVERSARY, WE WILL LISTEN SOMETHING OF INCREDIBLE, I LOVE U JAY AND ALL THE BAND OF COURSE1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They need to just skip the warped tour next year, because warped tour sucks, and start working on the new material in those wasted months of touring along side crappy emo bands.

It's a kind of 'parody' on NOFX's 'The Decline' album. NOFX did the same with 'Suffer' a couple of years ago (It was called 'Surfer'). |

Hmm, accidentally, Jay seems to have accidentally listed "Australia" instead of "UK" by accident.
I don't care how long it takes them to come back to Scotland, as long as they don't do a NOFX and never come back I'll be happy. |

They should work on the record in late april and may. No overproduced album, just record the songs in tested quality. I can't live this long without a new BR cd, please! oh just kidding, I can wait that long. In the meantime can we fans decide what it is going to be called?

I wish Bad Religion didn't do Warped Tour. Their own concerts are 5x better, and they could use the extra time to work on the next album!
