For the past 11 years the Ithaca Journal, a news paper from Ithaca, NY, has polled dozens of local musicians with a couple of questions. As Ithaca also happens to be Greg Graffin's hometown since 1990, he was also asked about his 2008 musical highlights.
Here are the questions and Greg's answers:
The "Lake Konstanz Festival" that Greg mentions was actually in Germany and took place on August 30. This festival is also known as "Rock am See". Looking at the pics from that show I'm sure the great weather played a huge role.
Pics by Oliver Hanser.
Looks like Greg is also promoting the band of this son Graham, The Rolemodels. If you haven't heard them before, check out the songs on their myspace. I think they've added another couple of songs since the last time they were mentioned on The BR Page. So what you guys and girls think... any improvement since then?

Funny that the kid's doing punk rock.
I guess the only way to rebelg against the father is to play more oldschool music, and occasionaly calling him a sellout or somehing.
Greg could let them use his studio, cheap bastard :).

Holy Crap, am the only one amazed that Graffin watches Tim & Eric's Awesome Show? He's completely right though, The Awesome Show is probably the best thing to happen to Adult Swim since Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.
Oh btw, I guess I'm back now

The Rolemodels are pretty much what I'd expect from a bunch of fifteen year old kids.

Cool! I was at the rock am see festival. It really was a blast!!!
I like the rolemodels. They remind me of the circle jerks and of course of early BR. I also like their sham 69 cover, another band I enjoy listening to.
I'm curious if the've got the potential to stick around for a while.

I find the picture for this article on the main page strangely hilarious.
As far as The Rolemodels are concerned...I like them. Yeah, they do sound very HCHBAWish, but is that a bad thing? The demo for War Mongers reminds me a bit of Degenerated by Reagan Youth. Anyone else think that?
