Ahh, miscelleanous news, how we savor these daily tidbits :)
Brett Gurewitz has apparently made a recent cameo in the video "Rabbit Habits" by the experimental band Man Man.
"It's just so hard to be a werewolf and in today's singles scene.
Man Man feels your pain. Tapping comedian Fred Armisen to help out for the video for "Rabbit Habits," the band delivers more than a straight-to-YouTube music video. It gives us a miniature creature feature.
What's more Bad Religion guitarist/Epitaph label head Brett Gurewitz makes a cameo as a milk-serving bartender in the video."

Meh. A mediocre video and a lame, drag ass tune. Checked out a couple of other tunes by them and it's like a jazzy/50's tv theme song lounge version of Tom Waits.
If you're looking for some different experimental stuff check DNA.

That's great, Agustin! Why don't you pay a visit and see if there's still some Brett memorabilia lying around, I dunno, his footsteps, or his fingerprints on that glass of milk...

Whoa!!! That bar where the two wolves or whatever meet in literally 50 feet from my house! It's the Short Stop!
How the hell did I miss this?

First of all, Jay will have to do that and not Graffin, since he's singing.
And second of all, I'm not saying it has to be that exact same pitch. You say it wouldn't be feasible, yet they still do it during the song whenever Brett's there.

i never said it was impossible. you referenced the album so i stated that it was greg who did that part on the record. it is true that brett does that part live, it has been "his part" since '89, my part is different. but i can easily adjust my part to sing the high notch. problem solved.

You're not getting the point I'm trying to make. This has nothing to do with Graffin. I'm talking about the backing vocals, that's it.
Instead of...

No, no. I know what you're saying. It's just that Graffin recorded those backing vocals, and I'm saying that it must it took a long fucking time to get them right, because they're at a pretty high pitch.
I guess what I'm saying is, it's not a very feasible thing to do at a live performance.

I'm not saying they're horrendous vocalists live. They're great (when their mics are actually at a decent volume).
What I'm trying to say is that in the No Control chorus there is supposed to a moment where he goes up a notch with his voice during "No Controoooool". Jay doesn't do that.
So, I'm listening to that part right now, and HOLY SHIT. That sounds like it would destroy the vocals after just doing it once. Props to Graffin for being able to do it at all.
But yeah, lately Jay's vocals have been really kick ass. Let him do what he's doing, because I actually prefer Jay's backups to the recordings. Just search 'Hove Festival I Want To Conquer The World' to get what I'm saying. Just at the ending there blows me away every time. Good job, Jay. Don't listen to these guys.

Playing live is a serious exercise, so I'm glad you guys go out on tours at all. You could be screaming in Latin & I would still be having a good time. I don't think you guys need to change anything :thumbs up: Hopefully, I can catch an acoustic set next time around on the next show I go too, though. That would be ultimate.
Actually, there is one thing that could be changed Jay... provided there's a bar within close proximity of the stage, Graffin should take up serving duties each time mid-set. AND! He owes you a vodka-tonic!

If anything, Brett should take some time off to play a gig in NZ! One day, for crying out loud! This will only be the 2nd time that we've seen Bad Religion AT ALL!!!
- But I'm still so excited anyway... :)

I think Jay and Brian are good backing vocalists. For this band, that is...It's still a punk rock band. But they can't sound like on No Control anymore. Even Greg G doesn't sound like himself, unless he brings along a helium balloon and takes a good inhale right before the song. that might work....

Will there ever be a European Bad Religion tour with Brett again? I've always wanted to see the entire band live and I can't stand the way Jay sings the No Control chorus. He should sing it like Brett, which is the way it sounds on the album.
