I didn't say anything about a super rare press, try to pay attention. Participating independent record stores had some last April, those were sealed (whether you were in Europe or the US.) Then Kings Road started offering them later and those were in the taped bags. I took some pictures to help illustrate but this thread doesn't like "long words" (ie. URLs, despite having a button for them.) I can try to post those on the wiki or something if anybody cares.

Sorry I meant 4/18/09.. and from another page on here it seems like Kings Road had them a lot sooner after that than I'd recalled. Not sure if this is enough to say it's likely they were pressed at the same time or not. Could be either way I guess but don't think it really matters. Sorta suspect that the ones sold at Kings Road were pressed separately, after the Record Store Day ones since it seems a little strange that extra effort would have been taken to package some of them differently if they were done at the same time. Other than the seal, they're exactly the same.

[/quote] Well perhaps they were all pressed together or multiple times, I don't think anybody really knows the definitive answer to that (outside of Epitaph) since they kept showing up over a few months, in different places and colors and with differing pressing details so I can't personally answer that part, only speculate. What is common knowledge though is the fact that they were first issued and available in participating stores, promoted as one of the exclusives for "Record Store Day", 4/18/08. Those ones available in stores were sealed, in shrinkwrap like an LP might normally be and had a sticker on the backs with a special barcode exclusive to that release. It wasn't until a couple of months later (can't remember exactly) that they were made available on the Kings Road site. Those ones came in the bags. The first ones, the black/white/red ones were just taped with a clear circle sticker and then the latest gray ones had the the tiny paper 'gray' sticker. I'm not aware of anybody buying a sealed red one on Record Store Day (ish) but know of a couple of white ones that were purchased that day. Then of course there were the UK record store day ones, the pink and maroon ones that had the different sleeve (I detailed that in some other thread after I got mine), those were also shrinkwrap sealed but I don't believe they had a barcode sticker on them like the US ones.

It does seem slightly strange that the retail ones would be different but perhaps it wasn't worth paying the extra money to shrink and sticker the ones they pressed for mailorder, not sure. Seems reasonable that it was only done in the first place to provide a bar code for retailers and that wouldn't be needed for mailorder so just guessing. I wouldn't worry too much about proving that it's unopened or unplayed, if it is and you want to sell it that way or whatever then go ahead. For what it's worth, those sleeves are fingerprint magnets and the second you handle it it's all printed up in a spectacular way. The original was pretty much the same.

i know i pay no control japan press 41$ canadian :( but is a real copy no extra track i think recipe for a hate japan is the first japan press whit Bonus tracks like all japan cd i have i know there a LOT of BR press around the world but japan a more song :P

I've never bought a sealed 7" :o In fact, I've never seen any sealed 7"'s in my local record store. Plastic outer sleeve, yes, but almost every new vinyl includes that. And to posthc, nice jap imports!

Wait a minute... The EP's I bought last year (the black, white and red bundle) were not sealed either. Are you postive, VeganLoke? Mine came in a clear plastic bag, too.

Sooo the ATG vinyl just went out of stock (today?). Phew! I ordered it on Wednesday (together with the gray EP) after I came back home from my summer vacation and got them shipped the day after. Also, I was wise enough to tick the Cellophane without holes option upon checkout so it's all good, no worries in that regard. Hooray for me...!

I'd too like to know why they never mark the presses up anywhere on the albums. Sure thing the orig press year should be marked up, but I'd like to see the repress year also mentioned.. or then as a marking as "7th pressing" for example... Like..ÖöÖöÖö... How the hell can I be absolutely sure that I own the 3rd press of the RFH LP since they're all black etc..?!?!?

I got the EP repress in today, only difference between this and the original EP that I know of besides the color is the address is Epitaph's newer address. Has "We Are Not Bad Religion" etched into side A and "You Are" into side B. Got my copy of ATG today. Holes in it, and the cellophane had a tiny rip in it, but doesn't really matter to me since I'm not a vinyl collector. Should be getting the EP by friday hopefully

you can also call them they are pretty nice about it.. keev was totally right.. but I had to call to confirm, by then it was too late (already on sale!) they were just waiting for the proper quantities to hit.. think she said 500 limited..

A HEADS UP TO EVERYONE: Karl who handles the kings road merch store said that the 7" repress is NOT SOLD OUT. Yesterday when they put everything up the quantity for it was messed up and none were sold, however to edit it you have to reboot the whole store or something and the traffic for the store was so heavy yesterday that they just couldnt do that. It should be fixed and available today or tomorrow I believe so hold tight!
