I downloaded the first 3 songs that were leaked, but I recently deleted them and I refuse to DL any more. It's nice to have something to look forward to. Plus I want to blast that CD on my stereo when I hear it for the first time.
P.S. - Chief, you're an idiot.

This album is top, top class and I wouldn't ever compare Bad Religion to any other band. Bad Religion are the best band around by far, imho.
Brilliant as always, and I'll of course buy the new cd, as every true fan should.

The Empire Strikes First? More like The Process of Belief part TWO if you ask me. Formula is exactly the same, Again it starts with 3 speedy songs of under two minutes in "old BR style". Again some 4 minutes songs wich bore me to death. Sure they're catchy. But there's a reason why No Control is my favourite album. Maybe ill burn the fast songs of ESB and POB on one CD and pretend that's their last album.
Hehe, The title by the way, The Empire strikes back, reminds me of the Star Wars Movie. Maybe they're doing a trilogy and we can expect a third simular album in a year or two.
But like The new Star wars movies, they suck compared to the original TRILOGY.
Yes, Suffer No Control and Against the Grain.
The people who say theyre waiting are either too stupid too download it on IRC, or just plain Stupid. Why wait when it's THERE WAITING FOR YOU! The album's encoded in 192kbps so the quality is killer, just buy it anyway when it comes out and shut up.

I'm only reading comments for this one. I'm gonna wait to listen until it gets released, the leaked early songs were enough for me, I'm not going to lose the surprise completely.
I'm probably gonna download from epitaph when they release some songs prior the release of the album though.

It's good.. that's about all I can say. The title track rocks.. I think it'll grow on me more though, I didn't find the album as a whole really catchy at first listen. I'd give it maybe 8/10 at the moment.

This album is a clear indication of BR's ultimate staying power, as well as a display of what they're capable of with Brett writing along with them. I hope this never ends...the songwriting, that is.

FINALLY! This record was more than worth the wait. It lives up to every aspect of the BR standards, and is everything I could have hoped for in a new album. I downloaded mine from IRC. I initially tried to grab it from Soulseek, but the queue lists were absolutely insane. I had the same problem with eDonkey/eMule. Here's hoping they press it on vinyl!

This album is awesome! I wouldn't say that it is "Into the Unknown" different, it is more like "Recipe for Hate" different. Social Suicide is a fuckin' rad song. I got the album from IRC.

I guess this album starts where TPOB ('broken') left off... first time listing I wasn't too positive but the more I hear it, the better I like it. Loads of oozin' aahs, I love it!

I think it kicks ass. Obviously everyone expected it to be better than The process of Belief but that isn't the case. The bar was set too high and some will be dissapointed. That being said I still love it. Some songs blew my dick clean off. Great Album, the only shitty things is having to wait for their next one.
Thanks BR.

Meh....I'm not gonna bother downloading it. Because then what would I have to look forward to?? I'm just going to wait.
Oh and I agree with BRVolition, I think BR tries to do something a little different with each album, so not everyone is going to like this one, I suppose. But I don't think I'll have a problem with it...I LOVED No Substance and New America, along with TPOB and their earlier, harder albums. So I love both kinds of styles.

Ever thought that some bands like Bad Religion are beyond trying to hook people on a first listen?

I heard the whole thing and I must say that I'm pretty dissapointed. The Process Of Belief hooked me on the first listen; The Empire Strikes First did not. Sadly, it's a weak album. Sorry....

i think with this album they finally told the punk police to get lost, we do what we want! probably most unusual br album since into the unknown, and i love it. everyone who hated into the unknown, no substance and new america aint gonna love it unless he opens his mind.
