Why has BR not done a headlining tour in CT since 03 thats all I really wanna know . 08/18/2010 at 15:24

BRFTW, you say that simian said something about them skipping his state and going to Washington instead, however you fail to mention the fact that he also said that he was willing to travel to Washington instead of resenting the band. You should just get the commitment to drive a couple hours and see them. I was quite happy that they played a Toronto Warped show last year and even though they skipped Toronto plenty of times to go to Quebec cities like Montreal, I still supported them. And a trip from the Greater Toronto Area to most Quebec cities is likely bigger than a trip out of a small state.

HugeFan the band I went to see was Iron Maiden and no they have not skipped CT actually they kicked off their 06 07 tour in CT they reason they didnt stop on the Somewhere Back In Time tour or the Final Frontier world tour was due to the eleborate stage / light show they had there was no place in CT big enough to have it . Bad Religion does not have that problem because their stage show is no where near the level of Maiden's .
Simian , BR played on The Warped tour not the same as a headlining tour which they have not done since 03 so it would be nice if BR acknowledged the fans in CT and RI rather than just blowing past them to play " the big states " . As for how I sound I really don't care if it bothers you that much thats your character flaw not mine . You even said in another thread that the reason Washington DC got skipped over is because there has always been a date there where as Baltimore never had BR stop there so thats why they did , same principal BR has never stopped in CT or RI on a headlining tour so why should NYC and MA always be the stops why cant they add a date to CT or RI . 08/18/2010 at 14:54

BadReligionFTW, would you quit complaining about that? You sound really obnoxious. You are the only person who thinks Connecticut just inherently deserves a BR show. It's a relatively small state wedged between two major metropolitan areas that get BR shows on every tour (NYC and Boston), and BR played in CT as recently as last year. I just drove through your entire state along I-84 on Monday, and it took me about 2 hours including rush hour traffic.
Gee what a surprise still no CT or RI date . Fucking lame
If I do recall, you mentioned that you left your state to see another band (I can't remember which one) when they skipped CT, however now when BR does the same thing a bit later, you resent them just because they did came a bit later and this time you don't have the money to do the same thing. It seems to me like this is more of your own personal problem than something that BR should be blamed for. They don't just plan their dates and say "Wait, this totally unrelated band skipped this state to go to a nearby state, maybe we should change the plans we've already made and confirmed and go to this state where we haven't been offered a good show by any promoters yet" or anything like that. I think it's time to get over it.

That's cool man. I'm going to FUN FUN FUN FEST in Austin the day after the Houston show so I'll be seeing them twice in one weekend! And yeah, Warehouse Live is a good venue for bands that are on the same tier as BR. I've seen NOFX, Social Distortion, and Cypress Hill there. Can't wait. 08/18/2010 at 09:33

I assume the Houston show is going to be at Warehouse Live. House of Blues already has GWAR booked that night and Verizon Wireless Theater is booked as well. I can't imagine where else they would play so Warehouse Live is the likely venue for Houston. Could be wrong though.

Yeah they played in CT on the fucking Warped Tour the last time they were in CT for a headlining tour was the Process Of Belief tour .
Its pretty lame that they just go to MA , NY , PA and just skip over CT or even RI . I could understand going to those places if they were like Iron maiden who have an elborate stage show but they don't theres really no reason for them not to stop in more spots in New England . I mean the Mohegan Sun arena would be ideal for them . 08/14/2010 at 12:30
Shit, 50%? Kariscene do you know of any other way to get the tickets other than through ticketmaster?
Sadly there's no other way. The venue only sells them on the evening of the show, if the tickets aren't sold out by then. Their website lists your choices as Ticketmaster, Marshall Field's stores (which don't even exist anymore, but that's just a Ticketmaster window anyway) and a record store that's been out of business for 3 years. Nice. I hate being forced to pay TM's ridiculous fees, but I didn't want to risk being shut out. 08/11/2010 at 10:28

For Austin BR fans looks like they're playing at the fun fun fun fest which explains the gap after the show in Houston. (already got my early bird tickets )

This. This a million times. You guys completely skipped VA and Baltimore is kind of a pain to get to from my little corner of bumfuck nowhere.
Plus The National is an awesome venue and Richmond is neat city, at least I like it. But maybe that's just because I've been in and around it my whole life....

Well Oct 14 is a Thursday, so I think it is unlikely it will be a festival. The lack of a solid venue is disturbing though, I really hope it doesn't get canceled for any reason!

I guess hoping for an Ottawa show when they was a MTL one was wishful thinking. Bus ride for me.
However, these dates are, as someone mentioned, horrible for Canadians. Someone pointed out there were "5 dates", 3 on the West Coast and 2 in the GTA to MTL belt. 2 are festivals (maybe 3 depending on TO) and none for East Coast :(
So Canadians get 2 full BR shows at this point.

OH MY FUCKING FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER... BALTIMORE?!? This is like my dream come true... I am having multiple joygasms right now. I have been waiting for a Baltimore show for... ever. PLEASE let "TBA" turn into a confirmed venue... please... I wish they'd play at the Ottobar, but that would really be too small for Bad Religion (although I just saw G.B.H. there a week ago and that ruled). Sonar sucks, it'll probably end up happening at Ram's Head Live... which also sucks, but at least it's big enough that a lot of people will be able to go. Hey JohnVicious, see ya there!
I'll probably drive up to see the NYC show the weekend before, and I'll probably go to Atlantic City the night before too. Would do Philadelphia, but I think I'll be in class that night... dammit.

Im just referring to the fact that some people dont go straight to the Tour and dates section, and they might just read the article stating new north american dates, and see Riot fest...+2 more...and their missing out on the Montreal date.... that is all.

I sent the Riot Fest people an email asking which days bands will play and also asking how long each band will play. This is the response I got...
[b]hello,
schedule will be released next week. bad religion will be playing for over an hour. thanks, and spread the word!
why arent you guys listing the Montreal @ Metropolis 10/15 show? cause you hate the french?
Well, you guys do get all the shows when BR skips over Toronto, so perhaps I do!
Just kidding. But seriously, BR needs to play a Toronto show before I go insane! Or I suppose I could just head to Montreal if they don't. But Toronto has plenty of great venues and they'd get a large audience, so they really should play a Toronto show in this North American tour.

It's already listed in the Tours&Shows section, as indicated above.
That is not to say that we don't hate the French, though. We still do.
Okay seriously, if they skip Toronto and go straight to Quebec again for like the third time that'll suck. I'm really hoping for a full show in Toronto (and not a festival LOL).
Actually BR has been in Quebec 3 times in less than 3 years, for full shows. That would be the 4th show in 3 years+. Greg Graffin could maybe call the city their "Second home away from home".
Keeping fingers crossed ;)

Lazy parent to latch-key kid: Where do you think you're going, young man?
Kid: To a Riot Fest
Parent: Oh no you're not.
Kid: Oh yes I am *slams door*

Darw, don't forget about Circle Jerks (does Hetson get a bonus if he has to go on stage twice the same night?), High on Fire and COC!!!
I remember during a CA show in Warped Tour 07, Hetson played with Bad Religion, Circle Jerks, Black President, and Punk Rock Karaoke in one day.
How did that affect the Hetson Hop? From flying to the floor on his back akin to Angus Young, less the spasms? Seeing that much Hetson in a night would leave me tingling!
Yeah, seriously. I was all geared up for a trip to Chi-town, but there's no effin way I'm gonna spend $115 for a festival setlist show :(
These five day passes are an early bird special. There will probably be other passes as well. An other site mentioned that regular passes will be on sale on July 17. I didn't post this in the news since I couldn't find this info on the Riot Fest site.

That's sounds like a kick-ass festival given the lineup. Too bad So Cal doesn't seem to ever have any of these... :/

Bad Religion and Mighty Mighty Bosstones on the same night or on different days? I will poop my pants.
And yeah, HugeFan... if this is the reality I'm way more inclined to go, so the Flatliners are finished.
