Exclaim! ("Canada’s leading media source for new music across all genre") did an interview with Jay in which he talks about The Dissent Of Man and the future of Bad Religion.
And now for a couple of totally random quotes from the interview:
“Greg [Graffin] and I were talking about maybe it's time to move on into wherever we are now, away from the past 30 years,” he explains. “When I hear the record, I really feel [it's] representative of us. I know that's weird but it feels exactly where we are in our lives, which is good. That's the same feeling we had with How Could Hell Be Any Worse? [1982], Suffer [1988] and The Process of Belief [2002], four records that are more indicative of where we are in our lives than anything else. That's where this record is now.”
“I remember having this feeling of being so fucking angry that the band was gonna end on this wimpy little squeak; not really feeling that all the things we'd accomplished... we'd fucked it up so bad. So yeah, there was this sort of Revenge of the Nerds attitude going in with Process. We wanted to just make the greatest rock record ever. Not that it was or wasn't but it felt good to get back to where we were around Suffer; where our mindset was.”

Awesome interview. Let's hope their mind is in another "Process" type mood come 2012, 2013.

Jay always does really great interviews. Sometimes I can surf youtube and just watch a bunch of his interviews. there's always something new to be learned about BR.

Fuck everything about that statement.[/quote] Adding another agreement! I like Jay talking about how angry he was when New America came out and Process being made with a "Revenge of the Nerds" mentality. Jay interviews are always a great read. 09/30/2010 at 18:23

As long as the music is from the heart, that's all that matters. I was just afraid the album may have been an appeal to the public, but now I can rest assured that it has integrity.

Ironically, an advertisement I got on that site was for a Gorillaz show in Toronto on October 14th, when BR is playing in Toronto on October 14th, when this Exclaim site is a Canadian site.
