why are you people getting pissed off? he's giving the album a good review. the criticisms are mostly justifiable. the "real" music critics are gonna tear this album apart, so i hope you're prepared. besides, when's the last time you put "no substance" in your CD player. yeah. that's what i thought.

I have to agree with Billy G.
That review was one of the most arrogant and pretentious pieces of writing on here in a long time....
Unless of course you are a close friend of the band and spent some time in the studio with them...which you obviously didn't..otherwise you'd know that all the tracks are "fresh", no old cuts from TPOB were used...
Did you actually listen to the album because you like Bad Religion or do you get a kick out of spotting similarities between songs? And what's the whole "this song is punk..this one isn't" about? You can't expect a BR album in 2004 to sound like a carbon copy of HCHBAW or Suffer....

tsk tsk eevil. you should feel ashamed of yourself for even mentioning nickelback in the same breath as the greatest band in the world. Iwas actually hoping that the face being boot stomped belonged to kreuger! and eevil calls himself/herself a fan? has bad religion not done enough for you already? cuz they sure as hell don't deserve that kinda bullshit.

Well, Greg n co. still kick ass. I feel kinda guilty for downloading the songs but I couldn?t let that opportunity pass... Everyone was listening to it... I?ll buy it when it?s out of course, I?m expecting the remastered cd?s to be launched here in Brazil even though I have the originals, especially How could hell... for we can?t find it round here. The record is, to say the least, fantastic. These guys are unique, special everything else sounds n feels so mediocre and vain after listening or reading their music. Thanks for letting us feel the power of such relevant music

Uhh, it reads well. Good job Eevill. I'll see what I think after the album comes out and I hear it.
Oh ya, once again - Chief, you're a fucking idiot. Anticipation is a good thing. In two months I'll be shatterin' some windows with my new, PROPERLY FORMATTED, BR tunes. Download if you want, but all it boils down to is no patience and a lack of reverence for this great band.

I realise politics have been a big part of punk music, but I also think NOFX's last album was an attempt to jump on the bandwagon of Bush-haters. And if BR want to become a radio-rock band, that's OK. It wouldn't make me happy though.

Don't worry TootieHalo, you're not alone! I'm waiting too...it's been getting harder and harder to ward off the temptation, but I refuse to download it...I'm gonna wait, and it'll make it that much more worth it!

I've downloaded the new album..I couldn't stop myself..Overall it's familiar with TPOB.Except tracks 6,8,11,13, rest is great. My fave tracks are Sinister Rouge,Social Suicide and All There is.But I will sure buy it on June8th. Greg's vocals and oozin' ahhs got greater in this album..Track 13 has influences from American Lesion. But the thing I want know is;who gave the songs to the persons who put them to the download sites? Did epitaph give the permission?Did anyone steal the master recordings? if anyone know that , inform me here please... ''Give us this day our daily bread, then you'll see we'll not forget''...

I?m not downloading it. I hope (and know) it?s worth waiting. The thing that helps me, is that more than 8/6 I?m waiting for 6/5, when I?m going to see them live. (Only couple of weeks to go!)

What do you mean by saying God?s Love and To Another abyss are ??just there`` and ??good songs, but thats about it``? They?re the climax of the album along with LA is burning and Let them eat war. Two great songs.

I think they're doing a Trilogy. With Process of Belief being the first, and this one being the second (the title even suggests it, The Empire Strikes...back?)
Same style as Process too, some songs go back to the Classic BR, while other really sound like nothing they've before.
I still miss Pete Finestone.
His simplistic drumming gave the band that Ramones feel that I so much miss now. Sure Brooks sounds neat with his double bass pedal on "Social Suicide", but its the simplicity of say, "Change of Ideas" that is the BR i fell in love with.

To Another Abyss is a not-too-good rip from Epiphany (i'm sure of that! i'm a Epiphany fan, ahaha! :D)..
but Beyond Eletric Dreams (shattered faith?) is the best song of the album for me, All There Is sounds good too (Oozin' Aahz?)
and... "Boot Stamping"... i've deleted... i dont wanna hear it again... jesus crist! this is not bad religion... greg could do anything better and we're sure he can... :P

Review was nothing special, although your "it's not you" comment is the most arrogant comment ever. Really, what gives you the right to decide what's "them"? They make the music, they make the decisions. They decide who "they" are. You suck, dumbass.

much better review than the last one i read on here. I don't agree that E-M-P-I-R-E is a rip-off of "The Defense", however. It's got a different hook than BR has used before and the rhythm is different from "The Defense." This is a good record, though. Not counting "Overture", there are at least 10 awesome tracks on it, 2 very good ones, and one that's just sorta there (The Quickening).

that "nofx did, why not bad religion" is the shittiest, stupidest thing i've heard in a while.
no offense to you, but politics have been a huge part of punk rock since punk rock's very beginnings. NOFX was nowhere near the first to put politics into their music. In fact, Bad Religion themselves did it before them.
