Hey everyone, Marty here. With the end of the year closing up on us fast, it's about time for our fifth annual "looking-back-at-2013" thing. The release of True North - and all the positve reviews it received -, the huge European tour and the release of the Christmas Songs album make this a highly successful year for Bad Religion. But you already knew about that...

Let's focus on our little venture here called The Bad Religion Page and kick off with some social media figures....

• The number of followers on Twitter inreased by 2,169, which is pretty much the same increase as last year; currently we're at 8,724.
• Our Youtube channel has gained 528 subscribers last year, bringing the total to 801. The total number of video views increased more significantly from 84,256 to 193,757. The German Toten Hosen videos (feat. Graffin) are still by far the most popular. The infamous Japanese interview is also doing pretty well in second place. The most popular demos appear to be 21st Century (Digital Boy) and Hole In The Ship.
• We've been getting a lot more exposure on Facebook this year. We went from 1,500 to 3,642 likes.
• This year we also started to occasionally share some live tunes on Soundcloud. Although we haven't done anything recently and a link to it is still missing from thebrpage.net, we now have 273 followers and 2,215 tracks played.

• Site-wise the biggest change was the overhaul of the layout and design; after all, the last layout already celebrated its 5th birthday last October. The biggest improvement of the current layout is the menu that has been moved from the left side to the top, which allows us to use a lot more space for the actual content for each page. With the new layout also a bunch of new themes were introduced (only available from your 'Member Control Panel' if you're logged in).
  
• A lot of 'bullshit' articles in The Answer were either removed or cleaned up. Also, categories were introduced; allowing for easier navigation.
• Once again dozens and dozens of interviews, articles have been added to the (underrated) Media section, with scans of paper magazines being the main source.

The site could have used a bit more attention from me this year - improving the Bootlegs and the Tabs sections to be precise - but due to certain unforeseen family issues my focus wasn't on thebrpage. It's 'funny' how certain events in life make you look at things from a different perspective and makes you think twice about what's really important; as you can imagine, working on some small fansite for a punkband wasn't ranked too high. Anyway, thank you Jesse for having been there!
