In a statement, Graffin detailed the song’s inspiration: “Bad Religion’s belief in a secular basis for the protection of human rights for all people.” He added, “Since we’re a band that has a longstanding tradition of championing the enlightenment, we wanted to emphasize that this document establishes that our society is based on a profane rather than a sacred theological justification for human rights.”

Doesn't this make a little more sense?
Intelligence and knowledge are an ordinance
A constant check on privilege and wealth
Nurture it, provisioning a furtherance
Of fundamental democratic health
Cool song. I know it's on purpose, but it sounds like they fucked up and put the bridge too soon, it's funny.

Incredible song, love the lyrics especially. But I don't get why people trash TKAAR. I personally like that better than this new song. In any case, I'm VERY optimistic about the new record.

Hostility to every living creature
Likened to intellectual commands
Inalienable is not some moving feature
It's foundation, the bedrock of the land
So it's criminal
Antithetical
Inimical
To deny their plan
If you seek to make
Divisible
The principle
Of the profane rights of man
And so in turns
The bourgeoisie
The bastard child of democracy
Morphs into aristocracy
Demands advantage it must not receive
But if the citizen will not stay its hand
The myth becomes a menace on the land
And it's criminal
Antithetical
Inimical
Intelligence and knowledge are an ordinance
A constant check on privilege and wealth
Nurture and provisioning their furtherance
A fundamental democratic hell
So it's criminal
Antithetical
Inimical
To deny their plan
If you seek to make
Divisible
The principle
Of the profane rights of man

Good song. Sounds super GG-y, and given he commented on the song's inspiration, I suppose he indeed wrote this one. It's a bit deriviative, but catchy (and not in an annoying way, unlike TKAAR), and I appreciate the lyrical sentiment (based on the lines I'd gathered).
Could do without the "oooooh" part after the first chorus, the initial "MAAAAAAA-AA-AAA-AAAAN" was fun, but that bit afterwards felt tacked on.
Also nice to see how dynamic the song is arranged, with the second verse being in half time and all. Again, good song. Maybe not an all-time great, but certainly not a letdown. Even if it does sound like When (outro singalong), The Island (initial vocal phrasing), Leaders & Followers (verses), Do What You Want (intro rhythm guitar), The Great Dellusion/True North (MAA-AAA-AAA-AAAN)... yeah, it sounds like Bad Religion alright (and Graffin's stuff in particular, which makes sense).

I love this new song, The Kids Are Alt Right is a pretty bad song to be honest, this finally feels like Bad Religion again, Ill be super pumped if the rest of the album sounds like this

It’s nice to finally put the fear to rest... the kids are alt right was a one off— this is hopefully a sign of what’s to come. Only question at this point: is this going to fall on the first or second half of the next record . To me, this is so much like “ land of endless greed” or “ When?” But this could also easily be The penultimate track. What do y’all think?
Does that harmony in the beginning remind anyone of “Nothing to Dismay?”
