A few weeks ago Brett teased a photo of himself behind a mic: "mask down for some socially distant bgvs".
Well, now we know that this was indeed for something Bad Religion related! Once again, Jim Ruland's (the author of Bad Religion's upcoming book) newsletter contains some interesting details! Subscribe to his newsletter here, if you haven't done so already.
"The label [Epitaph] will be releasing some new Bad Religion songs in the next few weeks. How new? You’re just going to have to wait and see…"
How awesome is that! So Brett recently recording some backing vocals was for new(?) BR songs after all!
Apparently, just like Age of Unreason, they're working together with Carlos de la Garza.

I can hardly believe it. I mean, this would blow my mind. It certainly wouldn't fit their m.o. given that AoU came out last year and this is not the 80s/early 90s :) Also, didn't someone say "long-time fans will love it" or something? Doesn't this that imply that it's actually old songs? Maybe they're re-recording old tunes? Like Into the Unknown? :D
