Yeah the new Descendents is the worst record they have ever put out, they have definitely turned into what I call "whine rock." Hopefully Empire won't be such a let down. And whatever happened to Social D? I really don't care for them that much anymore. But the biggest punk record of the year will definitely be Empire, 'cuz unlike everyboby else has changed their sound. BR made that mistake with No Substance and The New America, but now they kick ass again. As for Descendents, they have gone soft and turned into whine rock, just like Simple Plan, not - so - Good Charlotte, and whatever else sounds like whine rock.

Hmph. Well when Social Distortion releases their new album (they started recording in October, just finished tracking, going into mixing, which means at their pace it'll be released in July 2009 or so) which has been coming "next summer" for the past five years or so and is the "follow-up" to their last album 8 goddamn years ago that'll probably be the biggest album of the season, whatever season that'll be. Probably be a new ice age by then. Not that I'm bitter. And not that this has anything to do with Bad Religion, sorry.

The new Descentdents is really average. I dont really like it. Fugazi is releasing 20 live albums from different periods (www.fugaziliveseries.com). I cant deny I dont really like the new BR as well. Maybe Im getting too old for this.

Let's see... I never got into Fugazi, too damn slow and weird for any Minor Threat fan... Jawbreaker's "Dear You" was very good but the rest... Descendents' latest was pretty good considering they didn't release an album in ages, but... Although it doesn't match the lyrical qualitiy of TPOB, BR's new album is the best of the bunch.

who the hell said epiphany was boring?? i think that's a ridiculous comment. its one of the best songs from process of belief, if not the best. i think the most boring songs by br on that record are probably broken and you don't belong.. maybe even bored and extremely dangerous. not boring compared to other bands, but not really shiners from br.

descendents album doesnt deserve to be in that list, its average, with some good songs, the rest is boring, i mean really boring, not what people mean as "another abyss" or "epiphany" boring

DID SOMEONE SAY LIVE FUGAZI ALBUMS? LIKE, PLURAL? TESF may be the studio record to beat for punks this year, but live fugazi smokes any reissue or reunion. Awesome.
