You guys are crazy. No substance is one of the finest specimens of punk rock. I really dont understand why people dont like it. And TNA is good too.

I can't comment on any of the other gigs but in Manchester they played a tape of Overture before coming on and then they played it live before Sinister Rouge (but it did seem like a shortened version with just the drum and guitars parts).

One more comment: I will admit that the production of The New America really sucked. The drums sounded like shit, and the amp modeling that they used on the guitars did not truly mimic their usuallay mix of Marshall and Mesa amp heads.

Call me crazy, but I liked the New America. Sure, it was a different diretion, but the songs still had the same emotion and feeling as other BR discs- maybe it wasn't in typical BR fashion, but it had some great tunes: 1000 memories, There will be a way, The hopeless housewife, Don't sell me short, etc. And another thing... No Substance wasn't as bad as everyone likes to believe that it was either.

And to make it clearer Greg?s ooing sounded more like the ahing in sinister rouge, but he went a little crazy at the end of it, it sounded nothing like Overture.

Yes I have heard the new album I download it April the 2nd and have listened to it round about 40 times or so, and know at the Glasgow show Greg?s oooing was not Overture because it lasted round about 10 seconds not 1:09.

Tuesg: Have you heard the new album? They are messing and playing something, and Greg's ooing before Sinister rouge, that IS Overture!
The thing they play in the speakers before the show is NOT Overture, it's just some thing they start the shows with.
I know what I'm speaking about, cause I've heard the new album several times, and I've been to both the Sthlm and Lund shows.

Grillo I was at the show they didn't play overture it was just played on the speakers, the only intro to sinister rouge was Greg taking the piss by making wooing sounds in to the microphone, and yes i have TESF so I do know what im talking about.

Actually, where it reads "interlude" read intro... and New America wasn't that bad either... but it was the very worst this band ever recorded.

Overture shouldn't be considered a song, it's an interlude at most, they're probably been strugling as far as writing songs... too damn bad
At least they didn't write a second "New America", which was their worst album ever.

As I said before, I can?t really say if they played Overture or not since I haven?t heard it, but still I would claim they didn?t. I remember when Greg said something like "this is a new song, it?s called Sinister Rouge" and people went crazy cause everyone knew that it?s a fast one. And I would say that it started right away without any intro. But as Bonc said, it could be that they were playing Overture and Graffin spoke during that, and just at the end of Overture he mentioned Sinister Rouge. But I?m still with the no-Overture-theory..

I haven't posted anything in AGES. But there was a definite non-recorded introduction to Sinister Rouge that I'm assuming was Overture.
I'll write a short review of the gig and send it in once I get the time.

The more I think about it, the more I doubt about them playing overture or not in Finland... Might be that they played it, but Greg was speaking at the same time... Fuck, I can't remember!

No Tuesg, that's just some intro. They played overture before Sinister rouge in both Sthlm and Lund. Overture is actually an intro to Sinister Rouge!

They didn't actually play overture, it should be noted that it was only a recording on the speakers that played for like 3 minutes before the band came out and while the band were getting ready.
