i know i'm a month late, but i just wanted to respond to you guys. a lot of your criticism is on target, and as i've learned more about the band, my opinion has changed a lot. i put an addendum on the top of the review, responding to you guys in more detail, but in a nutshell:
i don't really give a shit who reads this or what they think, except i realized there's a real possibility some member of bad religion might wander across this. to them, and especially to greg, i just wanted to say i only have the highest respect for you guys and your band. greg, especially as a fellow scientist, i really admire what you do. i'll admit i don't know that much about your band, not enough to run a gauntlet of hardcore fans like i did. however, i'm trying to learn more about you guys, who seem to be anamoly in music. thus, please don't be offended and chalk this up to ignorance.

actually, process was recorded RIGHT BEFORE the sept 11 attacks; leaked onto the net maybe in late nov/early dec, and released officially in jan 2002. right after thew attacks, they had sorrow up and running to dl on the site. i think what he was getting at was that all the lyrical content is pre WTC attacks.

What The Fuck!? What does this idiot think he is by telling all of those shits. The only thing that I consider thruth is that he thinks Mr. Brett's music are good and tell storys, darker ect but he isnt better than Graffin, in the same way Graffin isnt better than Brett, their uniqueness in writing lyrics is what makes Bad Religion one of the most important band in the punk rock music. Another thing in the new album TESF is had a lot of greats songs, L.A. is burning is a masterpiece as every other song , and if you dont understand the meaning is because BR lyrics are made in Idiot-proof, like Greg onces say people that have never understand BR lyrics in this album wont make a chance in that. One last thing I am too a huge fan of other punks band, but BR for me is the best one, but you cant never say that anti-flag their probably hurt punk credibility more than anything in their lyrics, thats isnt truht.

the stupidest review ever. what does he know? TESF is a great album and i think is the best one since STF back with Brett and besides Brett's songs combined with Graffin's make the album the best of BR's career. it's a stupid review yea he doesn't deserve that album

To me it?s not getting tired, I want another 20 years of BR despite their age. And when did they sing about what?s punk or not?

Process came out after the WTC attack (Jan. 2002), not "RIGHT before the WTC attack" as the reviewer seems to think. I agree with Tuesg and Bad_Brett, this guy is just ignorant has no clue what he is talking about.

This review is a fucking joke;
1. Live Again is a Graffin song.
2. The writer has obviously never played any instrument (turn on the light = live again?)
3. All songs except Social Suicide, All there is and maybe live again contain new elements.

"nofx put out the war on errorism, which is full of the clever wordplay that i think makes nofx the most underrated punk band out there."
That has just made the review lose ALL credibility.

Bad Religion is Bad Religion. I?m fed up of people saying that they always sound the same, I?m fed up with people saying they have changed to much, simple answer if you don?t like it don?t listen to. Greg and Brett write music they themselves like they don?t write music to please other people and once again if you have a problem with what they write, if you find it boring, irrelevant, or to different for you taste then the quick way to sort that is not to listen to it or go back and listen to No Control. Or something more to your like.

I?m sorry but that reviewer doesn't have a clue, "It seems Graffin wrote all the lyrics" which suggests he prefers Brett yet the songs he criticizes are Brett?s songs. Then there?s the use of the phrase ?Rap song? I don?t think 19 seconds of rap in a 3 minute song allows it to be classified as a rap song.
?And what the hell is with bad religion actually quoting themselves in "Los Angeles is burning" with the reference to "how can hell be any worse?" If he was really a fan he would no that they have in fact done this before in numerous other songs.
And even though it?s a Web log his punctuation is terrible.
