did you guys see the simpsons episode where the alians take over both gore and bush? when everyone finds out both candidates are alians, the alian says "theres nothing you can do, its a two party system, go and waste your vote" so one of the alians win and they enslave humanity. then homer says "hey don't look at me i voted for the other guy' :)
i'd rather waste my vote and support someone i can believe in it won't make a difference anyway

if you believe thats the right thing to do, i see basicly no difference between bush and kerry besides the pr machine of kerry. he too will invade other countries its what his sponsers wants, he too will keep iraq occupied its what his sponsers want, under him young american soldiers will die also, what is bentley going to do then? vote for the other guy again, did we learn nothing from the past? i understand the logic, but basicly its short term thinking

Michel, since the US doesn't have a proportional system like lots of European countries, it's basically all or nothing. So only two people have a chance of running the country: Bush or Kerry. So you pick who you'd rather have in office. It would be much better if Nader could win but it isn't gonna happen.
Oh, and Jay Bentley lives in Canada, therefore he knows nothing of the world going on around him. Did you know that they built a wall on the 49th parallel so that no Canadians know what's going on south of the border? Now do you see why we think Americans are so arrogant?

kerry was in favour of the war before he started running against bush, he agrees that the best path for iraq is keeping it occupied with american soldiers, he is no different, vote for some one who desreves it, not for someone because you're scared, i read what jay wrote i don't believe in the everything but bush theory, it makes the whole political discussion dumb, it fails to put the democrats into perspective, kerry is just bush with better pr and charisma, so when the states invades the next country under kerry all you punkvoters can say "i supported that"
the asswipe comment was kind off over the top, i know the motivation (with bentley)is right i just don't think his solution is

Michel, TRUST me, anyone would be better than Bush. And I actually like John Kerry. Yes, he's rich (OH MY GOD!!! GET THE TAR AND FEATHERS OUT!!!). But so far his plans look a lot better than Bush's, and at least we know he won't get America into another uncalled-for war. Besides...call me a stubborn Yankee, but dammit, I'm sick of a Southerner being in the White House.
And yeah, Jay Bentley should know what he's talking about; he was a U.S. citizen (maybe he still has co-citizenship, or whatever it is), so I'm sure he still pays careful attention to what goes on here.

Uh, actually, this is incredibly old news. He posted that to punkvoter almost 2 years ago. But he IS right. No matter how much you know Nader would do a good job, there just won't be enough people voting for him to make a difference. The mainstream population thinks he's a wacko. So voting for him would be throwing your vote away. Its a fucked up catch 22 where you're basically forced to vote between two rich assholes.

Yes he does. But i think he is still a US citizen and therefore can vote in the election. And Rick, why doesn't he know what he's talking about?

I think the tracklisting is even better than the first. First one was okay, but this has more bands that I actually really like.
