Review from San Diego by fantasticthepan.
Went to the San Diego show last night. It rocked. I was in front row. Gurewitz was in the house but was silent the entire time. He played only rhythm with the exception of sorrow. Him and Greg have this unspoken connection where they look at each other from time to time and smile. Greg introduced the band in true rock n' roll fashion but in a sort of mocking way and Brett was amused. Greg had his usual string of bad jokes. Brooks showed off way too much, a little unpunk for my tastes. Greg seemed to be aware of it and gave mocking looks at it from time to time (maybe thats just my interpretation) lots of songs from tesf:
overture
sinister rouge
all there is
social suicide
god's love
beyond electric dreams
l.a. is burning
let them eat war (highlight of the evening, the place went bananas obviously still pissed from election)
other songs were:
come join us
generator (festival version)
digital boy
infected
recipe for hate
fuck armageddon
we're only gonna die
suffer
american jesus
epiphany
supersonic
sorrow
kyoto now! (i'm pretty sure)
modern man
along the way
you
man with a mission
do what you want
no control
nothing off no substance (i kept shouting in so many ways, but no dice), and new america, one song off stf, one song off gray race, one song off generator. mostly pob and tesf. sadly, no god song, and no cease.
Thanks to fantasticthepan for this news!
