i can say that "the quickening" is easily the worst song on TESF, but that doesn't make it bad by any means. Bad Religion doesn't have many bad songs.

Un-badreligion like?? Empire Strikes First? Anybody else heard of 21st Century Digital Boy? Granted the latter is a superior song, but they both contain a BR beat that is very recognizable by the mainstream public. i think... Also if it wasn't for Brett's return to the band, Greg would probably still be writing crap more suited for some mid-tempo alternative band than for BR. Their song writing skills are greatly enhanced because they're constantly trying to outdo each other. In short, Brett's song writing still kicks ass (see "The Quickening").

Brett as wrote "Beyond Electric Dreams." Probably the least simple song on the new album.

I loved the guy that stage dived and Greg had the "what the fuck" expression.

too simple? i thought all bad religion songs were simple...hehehe
do you think that part 3, do what you want and we?re only gonna die is complex, for example?
And what?s the problem to do "an un-badreligion song"? Sorry to disagree with you like this but I love when bad religion create different songs...it?s ok to change sometimes...I think I am one of those rare fans that really want to hear at least 5 "no substance" songs in a concert...
