Glad you fans are looking forward to "the new album" that comes out next year!
We haven't recorded the new album yet. But we will sometime later this year when we probably return we are finished touring. Greg and I have been writing a couple of new songs that we have never widely played before.
We'll see you next year! We (Bad Religion) can't wait to present our music to you!

It's not their last albums. I've been to the future, and I've seen it:
2006: "Three War World"
2007: "Fools' Rapture"
the last album is going to end with a 14 minute epic a la "the decline" and will have a b-side released only on asian labeled records about their new role as a world superpower.
Seriously, I went to the future. I saw it.

I doubt BR would go out with just some collection of already recorded songs, dissapointing most of us hardcore fans who already own them.
As for what they do if they split up, Mr. Brett will continue at Epitaph signing on lots more screamo bands, Brooks will join some arena rock band in order to advertise more for Zidjian, Brian will go take that offer from R.E.M., Hetson will continue playing in punk rock bands til the day he dies, Greg will be a professor/writer, and Jay Bentley will go on to become a hardcore porn star.

NO b sides. punkrocksongs contained all the b sides, so i don't think they'll do that..
But dalton you're right about the 50/50 anger/slow songs
But IF BR splits up, what do you think the (interresting) members will do?

I forgot to mention, the new album could also be a some kind of collection, eg. B-sides and few new songs or something like that.

Yeah well, Graffin did mention in some interview a while ago, that he finds the quiet life of a writer quite attractive. I think that the political situation in US being what it is, BR still has lot to say and I believe they will make at least one more album. But let's face it, they are getting old. The last two or three albums have been sort of 50/50, half of the songs are loaded with the energetic attitude and anger - if I may call it that - and the other half is slower and kind of easier. I'm not saying that those can't be good, eg. Boot Stamping on Human Face Forever is a great song. But they're still getting old :/

I don't really get that vibe, i personally just think that it'd be in BR's best interest (and ours) to go out on top, rather than waiting til they release some crap album. How many people thought BR was done with after New America? imagine how it would've been if that was their last album. i don't know about everyone else but i prefer BR to leave us one really fucking awesome album as its swan song.

I think there IS a reason to think it might be their last. TESF sounds like a shot animal runnig it's last miles with full power or something. haha I suck at metaphores. But my point is, think about bands that no longer exist. You can hear on their last albums that it is their last, some sort of vibe.

I agree, I haven't seen anything that would even hint that they're winding down to the end. It is a pretty good guess for anyone to say a new album next year, since STF it's been consistently 2 year separations. Still, I can't wait for every new BR album.

All this is, of course, just pure speculation.
In my opinion Bad Religion SHOULD NEVER RETIRE!

Well I only thought of trilogies as for a beggining and an ending, but:
(with Mr. Brett) Suffer/NC/ATG, Generator/RFH/STF.
(post Mr.Brett) TGR/NS/NA
(with Mr. Brett again) TPOB,TESF,(insert new album title here).
This may all just be meaningless banter, but it can still make sense.

I don't believe they will make another album. But I do believe greg will make a solo album. And ratguy! I always believed BR made 2 albums after eachother that sound alike. POB/TESF...NS/TNA...STF/TGR So there is no reason to think in trilogy's.

not only BR, but good news on the front for many bands... always good to see a new No Doubt or NOFX album.

who knows if this is true, but whatever album comes next i predict it will be their last. what better way to go out than with another trilogy. BR's main success began with Suffer, No Control, and Against the Grain, and it seems fit that they end it all with Process of Belief, Empire Strikes First, and whatever they name their last one. i sincerely hope i'm wrong though.
