Bad Religion proves it's still one of best

Five songs into the electrifying Bad Religion set at Skinnie Magazine's Fallfest 2005 Sunday night, lead singer Greg Graffin cracked a joke about how singing nonstop was getting more difficult for the punk statesmen.
"As we get older ... we like to be further away from the audience so you can't tell how handsomely we are aging," he said.
Graffin may look like a regular balding, Dockers-wearing dad, but at the University of Redlands' Greek Theatre, he showed why Bad Religion is still one of the best punk bands ever.
The band opened with the kick-drum driven "Sinister Rouge," and the audience -- black-clad, Mohawked and of all ages -- went wild.
Ripping through "21st Century (Digital Boy)" and "American Jesus," Bad Religion proved that while its punk may be aging, it's definitely not dead.
