Amercain Lesion 2 is out July
The new Bad Religion double album is out September, and no, a double album isn't always a double disc, depending on the size of each album

"Single cd's don't hold 60 minutes where you live?" - he didnt say that, he said they cant put out 60 minutes of music, and thats true, the average br album is around 40 minutes. and thats why it is an obvious joke, no punch line needed. "quality or quantity: a choice you have to make"
(oh, and thanx to beethoven the standard cd can hold up to 74 minutes, but thats another interesting story, read it up!)

More than once it's been said it's an "obvious joke". In what way is this obvious? There was no laughter in his voice, not even a hint of a smile that I could see. There was no setup, no punchline. Maybe he should've started with "A guy walks into a bar..." then maybe my half a brain could get this "obvious" joke.

Brett is telling the truth. I heard that the album will be out in September. I really hope Graffin puts out another American Lesion, though.

Maybe it's going to be a rock opera album. That would be another explanation why it's double.

A remastered Into the unknown would be awesome. I've never had the chance to hear it, 'cause I can't find it anywhere. That's a bummer.

Bad Religion couldn't put out a double album. That would require at LEAST 60 minutes of music, and I don't think could pull that off with experimenting drastically. Still, I don't think it was an obvious joke because it was quick and subtle. It was bound to be taken seriously by serious fans.

I thought it was an obvious joke... I hope Brett can clear this up, because there's quite a disparity between what he said and what Greg stated concerning putting out more records.
And Brooks was right on.... 10 more albums!

'80-'85 should've been a double album anyway since anyone thinks 28 songs on an album is just too much.

Never know. But, having more material sounds good like The Beatles released The White Album, Pink Floyd released The Wall, Nine Inch Nails released The Fragile and The Smashing Pumpkins released Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, those are one of my favourite double albums you know.

I dont see why BR putting out a double album is so far fetched. I wouldn't be surprised if they did it.

oh yes, and someone might die of old age...
i think brett just tells us what we want to hear. i dont take this "the future" part too seriously anyway. of course they might write enough songs to fill a double album but they wont release all of them. if they would do so, we would be very disappointed in the end and complaining about the quality of that release, although it would contain more songs.
so you just have to ask yourself what you would prefer to wait for: quality or quantity?

He might be refering to Greg Graffin's solo project.
"We're" could be refering to the band's current projects, which include the new BR album, and Greg Graffin's new solo album.

I noticed this too. His exact words were something like "we're working on a double album right now." Just because they are working on a double album doesn't necessarily mean it will end up coming out that way, but let's hope it does!
