Part 3 - How do I get all the Albums stuff on the Br sites? Via the net.
You can get anything. Fact.
Just like I got you your interview with Bad Religion.

Dear God, I've waiting for this since I first heard the rumors about it like 2, 3 years ago (whenever it was). I don't want to download the whole thing on the internet, but I wonder if there will be a sample song floating around soon?

Pretty sure you can buy a copy of it on Amazon. For sure on Ebay. I found my copy in some hole-in-the-wall record shop in Venice Beach years ago.

Well, I DO look at the artwork and booklet. And not just once. CDs are friends, dude. It's more than just some medium carrying music. It's something you bought and you remember. It's way more personal than mp3s ore whatever. I mean, there's nothing wrong with downloading. But having an original is way cooler.

i was just joking and pointing out, that promos nowadays are nothing special... now about the art, i NEVER bought an album because i liked the cover or the packaging it came in, i have one look into it, looking at the credits and the lyrics, and after that i never touch it again.

Onions> dont be such an idiot, for instance how can you download the wrapping of TPOB from the net? you cant -it came with a carton sleeve here- and this album is supposed to drop with linnen I heard. You cant get everything from the web, and I exclude ebay on this, Im talking about downloading. Downloading gives you alot, but only gives poor album art

Onions: I'm just happy that A Bad Religion member will be able to claim they have made a good album in the last 4 years.
Ooh, BURN!
Although I don't hold TESF as highly as the earlier records, everytime I listen to it, I think that it's better than I remembered it to be.

I love AL because I'm a huge folk/roots fan (probably more so than a punk fan) and Greg's use of traditional music is exceptional. If the new record is in the same vein (though something Rundgren-esque or any direction will be cool) I'll be very pleased. Graffin is a great writer and I'm confident that any style he chooses to embrace will be a musical success (citing Into the Unknown and AL as examples).

I think Greg Graffin should work with Paul Mccartney. Greg doesn't write enough melody into his songs. Like the one with "one day my life will be a chocolateshake", when he sings the word "one" he sounds so dull, almost like a robot

Because if the guy from U2 did the same record word for word, note for note, we would probably think it to be a fluke. Like a kid can paint what picasso paints, and do it on accident, but what is behind it? is it all just superficial?

fuck all you mother fuckers dogging U2. If Greg Graffin has taught us anything, its that we don't have to be closed-minded fucks that don't like music that's "not punk rock" or "too mainstream." Bono is a fucking genius, not as much a Greg, but its not like he's Bon Jovi or some other asshole. Yes, I'm trying to start shit!

good point about who did it. I think largely, it's Graffin's unique voice that makes all he does priceless. But right, if it was U2 or some shit, yes, we'd probably ignore it. I see your logic and agree with it most of the way. And people who called it american lesion 2 had no other alternative to call it, really, leave it the fuck alone.

You know, Im not going to deny that Greg Graffin is a talented musician. Ive heard American Lesion and was thoroughly impressed even though I didn't particularly care for the record. But I can't help but wonder how many people are so stoked about this simply because its a BR side project. Like, if U2 or some other shitty band wrote the same exact record word for word, note for note, how many of you would still say it's a great record? Just a thought I had. Not trying to start shit. Just an observation.
