how awesome would it have been if they ended this era show with Cease, like they used to on the gray race tour!
Good show. Would of liked to hear 10 In 2010, Punk Rock Song and or Against The Grain (specifically). But otherwise it was REALLY good.
Punk Rock Song was on the setlist, but at the end of the show graffin changed his mind about singing it(I guess it's a harder song to sing, and I think they were all pretty worn out at the end of the show because of the heat)

To bad about GG's fit! And it was definitely not part of the show as I personally witnessed a similar tantrum at a leg of The Gray Race Tour in San Diego. The show was going off DHC had opened the show followed by local favorites Unwritten Law. Who incidentally had a slightly lack-luster performance the previous night but really where on point and had the crowd fired up.
Bad Religion took the stage and ripped through the first 3/4 of their set. A few times between songs Greg would walk over to the side of the stage. He was kind of animated we could hear him saying something about his mic. Although things sounded fine to us his anger grew. At one point during the middle of a song he was shouting and threw the mic on the floor. The whole thing was very surreal because the band was still playing the whole time. He marched over to Jay's mic and grabbed it! The whole time you could tell that the sound guys were scrambling to fix things. The vocals to that mic were being adjusted on the fly and kids didn't even know what was happening. Suddenly GG smashed that mic on the floor too! I think at one point he had even ripped a mic off of Bobby's drum kit and tried to sing in to it! After a couple of more songs the Tech's finally got things straight & Greg calmed down. But the whole thing was kind of a bummer if you ask me 10/27/2010 at 12:50

Whoa... no 21st Century Digital Boy or LA is Burning? I'm shocked... they ALWAYS play those songs.
Also, why only 25 songs? I'd feel kinda ripped off, but I guess it's mostly Greg's mic's fault from what I'm seeing. :/ 10/27/2010 at 09:13

They should play different new songs than what theyve been doing though. Theyve done the same 3 new ones at both NYC shows. Throw in some The Day the Earth Stalled, Ad Hominem, or Only Rain.
And it doesnt look like the encore is changing at all. I expect another Infected/American Jesus/Fuck Armageddon/Sorrow. Or switch one of those out and we'll get 21st Century Digital Boy. I dont need to hear those. 10/27/2010 at 08:50

TNA should be tonight. came out in 2000? so youve got TNA, POB, TESF, NDA, and the new one. I just hope i dont have to hear Resist Stance, Infected, or 21stCDB again. But i do understand different night (partially) different crowd.

I apologize for the double pic. I still have to get used to the upload screen... you click browse, then select the picture but it doesnt show the path of the photo... at least on my screen. 10/27/2010 at 07:22

Holy shit. Holy shit.
One of my favorite songs ever is sowing the seeds of utopia. Amazing. I thought it was a good show. Not great. But definitely very good. I introduced myself to Simian, haha, but my friends wanted to book it right after. We went to the bar around the corner. After a little while, I look over. I'm standing next to Brian!! good ol' BB! He was way cool. Talked for a few minutes. Really cool guy. Looking forward to tomorrow night. Wahhoooooooo. 10/26/2010 at 23:18

So the VIP package is billed as this. You get front of the line access, a free CD, a special poster, and a picture with the band. Little did I know that they would interpret "a picture with the band" as loosely as they did. 50 of us or however many were there, go into the venue, one of the security guys goes "OK youre gonna go upstairs. The band will be onstage. You stand on the floor and face the balcony for the picture". At this point I'm thinking "Well goddamn. They really are just gonna take what is essentially a crowd shot, with the band standing behind us up on the stage".
Except Jay stood on the barrier, big deal. All of them, with the exception of Graffin, hung around for a few minutes to take pictures with cameras that some people brought (they never made it clear that you can bring your own), sign autographs, and shoot the shit. I felt awkward and felt like I would be bothering them, I just stood around listening to some of the convos. Jay seemed to wanna get outta there, but he got sucked into a few more photo ops and little conversations. I was really hoping I'd get to take a picture with the actual band by myself, and address them all as a unit even if it's only for 10 seconds, as opposed to going up to them as theyre scattered. Hetson booked it pretty quick. Brooks was the last one to leave. I dont know. We werent told it was a meet and greet, so I was just waiting for someone to go "OK EVERYBODY, disperse". 10/26/2010 at 21:45

No Substance was the neglected album of the evening with only 2 songs, although I was psyched about Sowing. Gray Race only got 3 songs. Would have loved to hear Kerosene or Skyscraper. Marked and What It Is were surprising and not obvious choices at all.

Greg threw a minor shit fit at the beginning of Generator. They started playing it the original way and he threw his mic up in exasperation, it hit Brooks' crash cymbal. They stopped playing, he stormed off, Hetson looked at him leave in surprise. Greg came back a few seconds later and said "Lets play it the better way" and they started doing it the slow, melodic way. The crowd sang along so loud that he stopped doing it for a bit.
Basicaly he tried to brush it off like it was part of the show, but I think he was pissed at his mic (he was complaining that the cable was giving off a buzzing sound that only he seemed to hear). 10/26/2010 at 21:23
