I got so caught up in teh show I hardly noticed! I was standing right up friend by Jay's speaker And thought it was because of the crowd I couldn't hear Greg very well.. anyway it was good enough for me :)

A good reason to return to The Netherlands once more....

Thank you for replying, Jay. I apologize for my somewhat vicious post. Taking off an evening from work, driving an hour to the venue, a shitload of parking costs and then NOT hearing the vocals kind of ticked me off ;)

It's also something that I had never experienced before during a Bad Religion show, so I didn't expect it. Thanks for clarifying once again!

i actually know what happened. considering it is a fairly new venue, we had installed 4 separate speakers onto the stage specifically for gregs voice that needed power amps to be turned on by the house tech. our soundman ronnie asked if the amps were indeed turned on which he was told halfway through the show that they had forgotten. he totally owns up that that was his failure to not be more diligent, but i know he had his hands full with a new console that needed all new programming before we ever hit the stage. that doesn't make it any better, and i could tell that it was frustrating for everyone not to hear greg, and for that i truly apologize

I play in a band and most sound guys are deaf or stupid. Most of them just stare at their laptops and never move away from the sound board. A good sound guy will walk around and see what happens with the mix when you're standing somewhere else and how the hall sounds with or without people.
I've been to 4 BR concerts I think and brooks and Brian are always pretty loud. Maybe it's not the sound guy fault , but the way they like it.

Great show ruined by an abysmal sound mix. Truly horrifying. I was standing center on the balcony, which is usually the best place to be. Even some guys from the pit down below were yelling at the stage how they couldn't hear the vocals.

I've seen their sound guy at work before during a lot of previous shows and he's more busy talking to his buddies than actually fine-tuning the sound. How the fuck do you go through 30 songs without noticing the main singer is inaudible? It's quite an accomplishment when you think about it. Just one huge brick wall of sound.

It wasn't due to the acoustics of the venue either because the support act sounded fine.

I was there! It was great, the band sounded really good. The vocals were indeed not loud enough for me. I was all the way in the front opposite Brian's speaker. Some guy I talked to on the bus who watched from the back of the hall said the volume was just fine for him.

It sure was a great show! my third Bad Religion concert & enjoyed this one the best.
There was a great atmosphere

great show! new america, wrong way kids and only rain were awesome. I wasn't sure I was going to see BR, but I saw the setlists from previous shows and said to my girlfriend. "I'm going to see BR tonight because they play a lot of good songs!" and she said "oh are they doing covers?"
One thing that I didn't like was that sometimes greg's vocals weren't loud enough. at the beginning of the show, even jay's mic was louder.
