Guitars
Dimkich's main guitar he uses is a rebfurbished 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior, which has had multiple headstock repairs. He purchased it in Canada, using their version of Craigslist. He had Baker check out the guitar (as he knows a fair amount more about guitars than Mike does), and the shop that was selling it, didn't have a really good light to look at it. Him and Brian went to the adult booksttore that was next store, took it apart and found out it had multiple previous repairs. It came with a stock P90 pickup, but has a Rolph (soapbar) pickup under the P90 cover. He refers to it as a "players guitar," which he can take on the road with him. He uses this guitar 99% of the time.
His second guitar is a late 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior with Seymour Duncan antiquity pickup and Grover patent pending tuners.
His third guitar is a 30th anniversary 1982 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop with Grover patent pendiong tuners. This particular unit was his second guitar he ever purchased, for $400. His name is written in Sharpie on the headstock by a tech that couldn't tell his guitar from the others.
He uses 11-52 guage strings.
The Les Paul Goldtop and the late 1959 Les Paul Junior were used on Age of Unreason (album).
Amps
Dimkich uses a Mesa Boogie Mark II Combo and a Marshall JMP 100 Head, which cost him $350. He runs them together with a 60's cabinet through a LEHLE AB Switcher.
The only pedal he uses is a Boss TU-2 Tuner.[1]
