Overview
Qiliania graffini is a fossil named after Greg Graffin. It was named by palaeontologist Jingmai O'Connor in honor of Graffin. It is a new species of enantiornithine, a group of ancient birds with claws and teeth. The fossil is signed by Graffin with "Fossils Forever!" written above his signature.
It is on display as part of "Rock Fossils on Tour," a traveling exhibit of fossils named in honor of rock stars. Qiliania graffini has been a part of the tour since 2016-2017. When visiting the exhibit, the visitor is able to listen to a song from each artist. For Graffin, "Stranger Than Fiction" is played.[1][2]
