Mr. Matthew Taylor is organizing a BR class at UC. Pretty fucking exciting. He asked me to post this advert:
"Bad Religion University Class at UC Berkeley. I'm looking for two dedicated souls to help me teach a BR class at the University of California, Berkeley in spring 02 (runs mid Jan - mid May). It's a full semester class, and we'll be focusing on a rich diversity of subjects relating to BR, including: - the entire discography - bios of all band members past and present - contemporary issues in BR songs, everything from abortion to peace/conflict to American social structures - random tidbits like the collaboration with Noam Chomsky. Should be a great class; students will be challenged to write several papers about, inspired by, or related to BR songs, themes, issues. Hoping to include a field trip to a BR show. Are you interested in being a fellow facilitator? You don't have to be a BR expert, but familiarity with most of their work and some background knowledge would be a plus.
