Even though there's not an official announcement of the band, it's now safe to say that Jamie Miller will fill Brooks' place in the band. Brian confirmed it in a recent interview with Radio Sonar.
Jamie has played drums in several bands such as Snot, ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, and Orgy.
Next month Jamie will play his first Bad Religion shows starting in Bogotá, Colombia.

This is hilariously ironic given the Snot song Mr Brett trashes Brett and Epitaph. Awkward!

I'm surprised to be the first person to post this (being only a guest). Full show featuring Jamie Miller on drums, recorded last week in Brazil:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a99v5d300gY
I personally have only good things to say about his drumming; reminds of Bobby Schayer's style in a way (with a rather 'heavy' hit on the snare), with pretty decent levels of speed and technique too. His style actually sounds like an hybrid between Finestone/Schayer/Wackerman to me, perfectly appropriate and very Bad Religionish. You might particularly want to watch New Dark Ages at 19:26 to see what I mean.
As an added bonus he seems to be having quite a lot of fun with the band (many smiles/winks exchanged with the other members). Can't wait to hear the next album, which will hopefully feature his own unique tricks a bit more extensively.
Long life Bad Religion!

Wow.. That was lame.. :D :D :D
Woulda taken the band for somekinda Death Metal act .. cuz of their name.
Wouldn't be the first band accidentally signed to an extreme metal music festival.. :D :D
Won't let that band though put down the drummer..

Not saying I'm going to like him more than my man crush, Brooks Wackerman, but I'm quite interested to see him playing with the band now. He's definitely a hard hitting drummer, but there's a lot of technique behind it too! Hope some of the summer tour dates will be recorded properly and end up on Youtube...

Replacing a drummer with a drummer... so predictable. Why couldn't they replace brooks with a trumpet or oboe player? When Brooks joined BR, it offered the band a more faster and technical percussionist, thus were able to change their style to a degree. The result was a new album (TPOB) that brought new life to the band. It was like a switch, I recall vividly how rejuvenated the band appeared. Graffin took up coccain as to lose his gut quicker for the impending tour, died his hair black and slicked it back. Adding a new drummer, who essentially is the engine of the band, can either be a Corvette like Brooks, or Camero like Bobby or a Mustang like Finestone, let's hope the new one isn't a Pirus.
This is probably one of their last albums if not THEE last, don't go out on the same note, make something we haven't necessarily heard before.

That's living legend Joe Barresi.
Jamie is not gonna sound like Brooks
so as Brooks didn't sound like bobby which drives some fans into mad.
It's gonna be different cuz they're just different peoples and musicians.
I just hope that Miller drumming style is gonna do i don't know some kind of harmony
with the rest of the guys and they're gonna sound cool together.
( i just hope that i didn't overdo with this one )
I wish you well mr Miller and hope that
you're gonna spend a long time with bad religion.

Bad Religion's best albums are the ones that have a good balance between fast, simple, punk songs and slower, more inventive songs.
True North was too fast; Dissent of Man was too slow. Still both very good albums though, but I think there's a happy medium between the two of them.
Can't remember the name of the guy who produced all the recent BR albums now, but he has a unique was of recording drums. He gets the drummer to record without cymbals for the first takes, then records further takes with the cymbals. He then uses the drum track from a take without cymbals, and layers the cymbals on afterwards from one of the later takes. This creates a very 'clean' drum sound, with no overspill from the cymbals. Brooks was technically capable enough to do this, but will Jamie Miller be able to do it? If not, there will be a big change in drum sound on the next album even if nothing else.

Maybe when the new album will be in the style of disco polo
all the Grinch fans will finally be happy ?
I'm not a musician so i can't argue with all the "know it all" fans.
What do you expect, that after the 35 years of being bad religion
they're gonna change into abba or iron maiden ?
You should be glad that they found Miller and didn't go to into retirement.
Miller have to learn all the songs, make he's place in the band ...
It's too early to talk about the new album.
[Either way, BR need to make something different than the last two albums.
To be fair, 'True North' did seem to be itself reaching for a new form, being a bit too enthusiastic for music which was still sounding a bit like a re-tread of earlier punk styles. They do seem to be trying to put forward new messages in their music, so that the style might seem to hold that back, and while conventionally a distinction might be observed between BR's more 'personal' and 'political' songs, 'True North' was actually much closer to integrating the two than previous attempts, while songs like 'Only Rain' have also tried something like this recently and taken a more melodic and 'metallic' direction than previous records by the band. Given that the solo projects are generally treated as side-projects from the band, trying to make that central might seem a bit like going softly away. The band still seem to have some interest in 'No Control,' etc., so there's not necessarily any reason why they should abandon that kind of sound, but the question seems to be more how to adapt that to where their current interests are concerning the content of the music. It seems a bit like while before they were making statements, now they're just telling stories.
That said, I guess that the other main problem with making new music is still that Brett Gurewitz likes and in all likelihood is primarily inspired by the band known as the Killers, perhaps after hearing the lyrics, 'He doesn't look a thing like Jesus, / But he talks like a gentleman, like you imagined / When you were young,' from 'When You Were Young.' This makes any attempts at returning to their roots instantly suspect.
No better time than after 30 years to reinvent yourself.
Or about one or so, and after that turn they've been denying it ever since.
02/21/2016 at 10:09

New drummer should mean a change in style to some degree. BR has very predictable music formula, and you can hear it's sudden change when Brooks joined.
[small]Edited by PreDispositionReport[/small]
I agree! And I hope that IF they make a new album, that they record the songs the way they want it to sound. For example if Greg writes a folk style acoustic song, they should record it like that and they shouldn't think:"oh we have to speed it up and add 5 layers of power chords on top of it or else the no control fans from 30 years ago will be pissed off" I would rather see BR end their career with good folk/pop/rock/whatever music than an uninspired True North part 2/3/4. I feel like many music reviewers and magazines thought that tpob and tesf were excellent comeback albums, but every album after that was just another "good" punk rock album in a predictable style that will not disappoint the fans. I just hope they will surprise everybody with this new drummer and make some really interesting good music.

While you're at a new album, use this opportunity to reinvent BRs sound. The last two albums were soft and could have been one album. The production technique is predictable and stale. It pains me to say that, and this is a guy who thought No Substance and New America were decent albums considering ALL new music was horseshit the end of the nineties.
