In 2011 we've reported about a fossil having been named after Greg Graffin: the "Qiliania graffini". Since then it's been very quiet and we pretty much forgot about this. Until today that is.
Only by pure happenstance we came across the fossil in the city of Maastricht in The Netherlands. Apparently, it is part of the "Rock Fossils on Tour" travelling exhibition about fossils named after rock stars, which from February 8th until September 1st can be found at the Natural History Museum in Maastricht.
The exhibition tour started in 2013, but only in 2016/2017 the Qiliania graffini was added to the collection.
As part of the tour, the various rock stars each have their own stand with some information and the option to plug in a headphone (provided at the entrance) and listen to a song. For Bad Religion it was Stranger Than Fiction.

I love it! I produce a weekly info ad for a local station in Bozeman, Montana and this info will be great for the 45 sec writeup intro to the Buzz Cut on the Eagle. Very cool stuff and well deserved.

In this fu...ing times 2015+ when everything is so fu...cking lunatic - right wing fossil it's a really great normal news ! I just wish that it was some really big dinosaur like Stegosaurus or Argentinosaurus ( my favorits ). The new species of a big dinosaur - i would call it "Brettinigus Badreliginious" !
