Stranger than fiction is my favourite Bad Religion CD. But only because I have the european version. The american version DOESNT have News from the front and Markovian process. THATS SUCH A SHAME cuz they end the album WITH A BANG. Imagine it ending with 21st century digital boy... ewwww so sorry for you americans.

No, Mr Brett confirmed that not too long ago on the official board. Since News From The Front was only released in Europe, thats why its unreleased. pity.

hey part 3. I recently discovered that "broken" is on a compilation CD called "oorgasm 8" did you know that. Maybe someone has a list of all the compilation discs bad religion is on?
Well they're mainly on the punk o rama's, the rock against bush, and I believe Were only gonna die is somewhere on some movie soundtrack disc... beside that... I dont really know
and "oorgasm" is probably a amateur compilation, as most bootlegs, so I dont know if you can tally that up with the official compilation albums

The New America Backup? you know... that forgotten song was found inside of a graffin's locker and they said: 'hell no.. we need some extras to win more money.. lets record this shit out without brett's knowledge'"

Part III - I loved it on the first listen, and along with Live Again, it's one of my faves. I wonder why it took others a while to appreciate it.

Give Em the Boot IV had an "unreleased" Rancid track (Killing Zone) which was also a b-side.

i love surface of me, but PART III, it does say "This album features unreleased tracks from The Offspring, Bad Religion, Rancid, Pulley, Hot Water Music, Bouncing Souls, The Matches, Scatter The Ashes, The Special Goodness and Danger Doom plus songs from Pennywise, NOFX, Matchbook Romance, Motion City Soundtrack, Sage Francis, Youth Group, Millencolin, Tiger Army and more!"
It clearly says the bad religion song will be an unreleased track, hence NOT surface of me.

I don't think it's a bad song...It took me a few listens to really appreciate it, and once I did I liked the catchiness of it (maybe it does have a lot of New America influence in it, but I'm one of those rare fans that loves that cd). The song isn't BR at it's best, but it isn't horrible.

Tommy, I'm one of those who think Surface of Me sounds as if it was an outtake from The New America. I don't know, it has the same vibe...

This will more than likely be a "previously unreleased" track. I.E. Shattered Faith or Who We Are. I'll email Greg and ask but I doubt if he'll let me know. A new song would be fantastic.!

Well, whatever it is, if it's half as good as Who We Are, I will be more than pleased. Now, if it's more in the vein of Surface of Me, I will be disappointed.

While I wouldn't be surprised if Surface of Me ends up on this comp, I still think it is more likely that it will be a completely new track. After all, Bad Religion was set to record a song for an Adolescents tribute, so I would guess they had some time to lay down a new original tune as well.

i would assume the offspring stuff is totally from ixnay or before... i don't think i'd want to hear any new unreleased offspring.. they've kinda been pretty terrible lately. epitaph probably owns all unreleased material from ixnay, even though they only had rights to the euro distribution, but i could be wrong. also, there's no way the BR song will be SURFACE OF ME, because it's already been released, and when they say UNRELEASED, they mean it.

I agree with therightclique. It's weird to see an Offspring song on a POR comp. Does this mean that Brett and the guys are back in good speaking terms? And could this mean as well that it's an unreleased track from the Ignition/Smash/Ixnay era considering that Epitaph has the rights only to those records (well, Ixnay only in Europe)?
