Went to the House of Blues show last night (6/3/05), great time. Nice new venue, pretty small with an energetic crowd, that bordered on annoying. Next to me up front were a bunch of teenage girls that were pushing everyone out of the way to get to the rail right before the show, pissing everyone off. In the middle of the show, a more "punk" chick came up and clocked one HARD in the back of the head. Jay thought it wasw a guy and said something to the affect of "hitting a girl in the back of the head, real nice". The he found out she was a girl and called her a bitch, to everyone's approval. The band was in a great mood. Jay and Greg joked about a contest where the person who goes to the most HOB shows on this tour will get put on the guestlist for Frankfurt (getting there being the fan's expense, of course). Greg introduced Delirium of Disorder as a song they hadn't played for twelve years, they gave Jay's mic a nice octave-doubling effect for the intro. Someone held up signs for "You've Got a Chance" and "Quality or Qunatity". Greg took them , read them and said they'll work on them and try to do them tommorow. I hope I don't miss out on that. Greg also joked around about having someone come on stage and play guitar, and asked if anyone did. Some people raised their hand, including me, knowing I can play most of the BR catalogue in my sleep. Jay mentioned that he'd like someone to come up and play bass for a song. With my girlfriend and my brother pointing at me as well, Greg looked over and pointed at me, saying "You?" My stomach was lost for half a second, till reality kicked in and Greg moved on to something else. My 3 minutes of fame had passed me by.
Also, the breakdown of Let Them Eat War was rapped by Greg and Jay. Afterword, Jay said that he didn't like that and didn't want to do it ever again.
