all right I saw one other person bring up Into The Unknown. There's my little edit, I guess I didn't pay much attention to begin with since I was distracted by the stupidity here. In 100 years no one will care and future generations will look this up and laugh.

Start your own band, directed to all the complainers because I didn't get one song when all I have to simply do is play that cd with my favorite song to hear it. I am not disappointed, I've read all comments but I don't know, I didn't see any one bring up "Into The Unknown". I'm sure some hippie emo person is out there upset about that! chuckle, chuckle anyways back to whatever futile point attempt...as in the aforementioned, play those albums with the songs you adore. I was going to type more but figured really what for? bunch of spoiled kids won't understand. So many don't like the song selection because there are no surprises? no requests? so if they went crazy and had benji from good charlotte doing guest vocals on "let them eat war" then it'd be okay to play these songs that you don't like but as long as they do your request all will be well or how about they say they're going to release a new dvd then don't? how would that be for a surprise! I think that would be hysterical.

I agree Steve (and co-incidentally was also at the Birmingham show where TGR was a great surprise, and wonderfully played). I must be firmly in the minority in thinking TGR their best album, and also NOT thinking All There Is the best song off TESF. While I'm rather relieved to see TGR represented on the DVD at all, I do feel that not including any songs from NS or NA is a shame; In So Many Ways at the very least deserves better than just being ignored.

no doubt that we will have in our hands a great dvd...that's for sure...Bad Religion are a great band with a lot of amazing songs...so it's hard to choose their best ones...and our complaints are just a way to show our love for the band...you know, when you love someone you always try to get more...I was just expecting they played all the songs they played at Palladium...that's all! but I'm ready to pay EVEN 100 EUROS for that dvd! we all need that dvd! and all our messages are likely to be...ONLY ENTERTAINMENT!

I really wish you people would stop fucking whining. The show was amazing, I was lucky enough to have gone to both night and if only 50% of the electrifying energy that pulsed at the Palladium that night comes through on that DVD, prepare to be amazed. Bad Religion are one of the few bands that are NOT all glitz and glory. They could have very easily jumped on the "BUSH SUX" bandwagon, and been all over MTV like those greedy bastards (Green Day)Come on! If you think BR are sell outs who only care about making money, then do yourselves a favor, and 1-Don't Buy the DVD, and 2-Don't buy any more of their albums.

The Gray Race (the song) is better than Come Join Us
Don't Sell Me Short is better than Infected
Sowing The Seeds Of Utopia is better than American Jesus
this is dissappointing... -_-

lets face it they only started playing YOU again when it was on that video game....i like the song but not the fact that they're only playing it for that reason.
Personally im not at all keen on many of the songs released as singles i.e LA,21st cent,sorrow,infected...they're for the masses kinda songs which will sell well 2 a popular audience.I think punk rock song is the best single they've released cuz musically its good and the lyrics are typical interesting, making you think BR lyrics.American jesus is good lyrically too but way over played imo,so much that it bores me now.
Unfortunately it was obvious that all of these songs would be included for the DVD.

Having gone to both shows it's obvious they cut a few songs from the DVD, which is a shame. They definitely played All There Is, The Defense, Epiphany, Beyond Electric Dreams, and Man With A Mission, all of which I'd prefer to see to a few of these other songs...
The lack of All There Is but the inclusion of Social Suicide seems particularly strange, considering All There Is seems to be the most popular song on the new album after Los Angeles Is Burning... oh well.

It's only making money now..
ITU was the second album.. And 26 years later, it's only making money... They're laughing and wasting time with choosing a brand new big house or mansion out there... and counting money.. and making money... SO THEY FUCKING CAN'T SURPRISE US WITH A WILD THING!

I've been to 36 BR shows, including the DVD recording at the Paladium.
Why are all of you so angry? If you dislike BR so much, go waste your complaints somewhere else where people who love and respect the band don't hang out.
BR delivers a high energy, entertaining and passionate performance every single time they play. You don't get that from any other band on the planet, 26 years in a row.
Best wishes,
Sasha

i think people should cool down about brett not coming along on tour. all the arguments made here are very valid.
but the fact that he had the fans vote for songs for the dvd, and then not include any, is really far out.

To be fair to Mr. Brett, he RUNS epitaph. Thats a lot of work. And really, on the road do they need 3 guitars? Last time I saw BR I didn't even notice that he wasn't there. 3 guitars is nice on an album but a little superfluous live. And as far as promo, and tv appearences, you want the people watching to know that he is in fact a member of the band. He's got his priorities, and running the most successful record label in punk rock happens to be more important to him then a tour he doesn't really have to go on.

I've been really thinking about this since we started talking about this yesterday. Are we just pawns? i mean, BR has recorded 5 albums in the last ten years, but only plays about 10 songs off of those records on most nights. I've heard the defense that its because those songs are better, but if thats the case, why do they still write new music and only play old stuff? They've release 74 songs since 1995 (counting the three in Tested) and yet 74% of their current setlist is stuff recorded before 1995. Actually, scratch that...they only usually play about 2 or 3 songs from STF, so must of the stuff they play live is from Recipe For Hate and before. Its like they know how to make money off of us. Greg G has a big house with a studio in an affluent neighborhood in Ithaca, NY; Brett has a mansion in california somewhere; and Jay lives in Canada where things are by no means cheap. I get the feeling we are the loyal fans who are just a means for them to continue thier lifestyles...

right, graffin writes the more interesting songs... FAFAFAFAFAFA, i love my computer, lalalala
graffin writes good songs when he doesnt try to hide that he has a big brain. his attempts to write "popular" stuff (popular in a good way, simple but still deep) are mostly weak. thats where brett kicks ass.

first of all, i dont take brett's parts, i leave that to his wife...
he is an asshole cause he has no time to tour with the band? tv shows and big events are promotional stuff, and besides that, i guess its easier to arrange his schedule around those few events than around a full tour. he can be replaced on tour, and thats why you people actually have a chance to see the band. is graffin an asshole when the band cant tour cause of his university stuff?

I'm starting to wonder if my comment earlier (i.e. Fuck Bad Religion) is what started all of this. Why are we turning against MR. Brett again? We all know he's an asshole, but we were also all rejoicing when he decided to come back...its really no surprise. Everyone knows that he's a bitch. He's always insulting his fans and implies that we are idiots, yet we loyaly buy his records and dvds. this is ridiculous...why do we even like Bad Religion anymore? Its just an addiction I can't break!

right, like every other manager, he writes half of the songs on an album (and for most part the more interesting ones) and plays also guitar on an album, then he also takes part in producing the album, and like every other manager, he is so important, that the band isnt nearly half as good without him. so why the hell should he get mentioned in the credits?!? he is just like a manager /sarcasm off
by the way fabio, bad religion should start moining about you, or how much royalties did you pay to bad religion for the bootlegs you sell?

people the dvd will be great...but I think everyone can express their own opinion about which songs should have been played...EVERYONE has the right to express his point of view...and I think since they played BOTH all there is and beyond el. dreams (even in both shows!!)...why didn't they include those?? WHAT'S THE POINT??? second, why does MR fucking Brett Gurewitz keep disappointing all of us?? before the band played the Palladium gigs, he asked fans to vote which songs had to be on the dvd!!and...none of the top 5 one is ON THE DVD!!! what's the point?? TELL ME, WHAT'S THE POINT??? also, he got the credit as guitarrist when EVERYONE HERE KNOWS that he barely play with the guys!! is that fair of him or not? that's my reply to people who think we (as fans) are just moining without a reason!

people the dvd will be great...but I think everyone can express their own opinion about which songs should have been played...EVERYONE has the right to express his point of view...and I think since they played BOTH all there is and beyond el. dreams (even in both shows!!)...why didn't they include those?? WHAT'S THE POINT??? second, why does MR fucking Brett Gurewitz keep disappointing all of us?? before the band played the Palladium gigs, he asked fans to vote which songs had to be on the dvd!!and...none of the top 5 one is ON THE DVD!!! what's the point?? TELL ME, WHAT'S THE POINT??? also, he got the credit as guitarrist when EVERYONE HERE KNOWS that he barely play with the guys!! is that fair of him or not? that's my reply to people who think we (as fans) are just moining without a reason!

...but why didn't all the songs they played then end up on the dvd... is it some shitty edited almost along the way type thing? I thought it was like one whole live concert (or two merged..or something)...but i'll be the first in line to buy this, no matter what

BR will never play anything from NA or NS live...
Read some of Jay's old comments on the BRMB...NA and NS don't exist.

I agree completly, I want them to stop teasing us with the usual setlist. I seriously want more No substance and (more likley) more Grey Race songs. But, it puts me in a tough place to complain at all.

Personally I'm not bitchin' about favorite songs that are not included. Off course they can't make everyone happy. But they have more than 200 songs, but Bad Religion them selves seem to think that they have only recorded 30-35 songs through their career... We have heard most of these songs a thousand times already, give us something... else. THAT'S what I'm bitchin' about.
Don't get me wrong, these songs are fuckin' awesome, but as I said- they should consider to change their set list from show to show with a little more than one or two changes...

Thank you for that hopeless housewife. I am not an authority figure , Im just like all of you. By all means complain all you like, I just think we are all too spoiled for our own good. These days we want what we want when we want it or we dont want it at all. BR has never dissapointed me, I like all BR songs and albums equally, I could no sooner pick out my favorite type of beer, let alone BR song. I will admit, I am not perticularly impressed with the setlist, it isnt anything new. But I can guarantee you I will be in line waiting to purchase it when it comes out. It is never a good idea to judge a book by it's cover, we could at least watch the dvd, then decide wether we like it or not

felix,
first of all, love the burger king comment. second of all...i agree with you for the most part. We shouldn't bitch. but don't act like there isn't some dissapointment in you when some of the songs you love aren't in there. so we can bitch all we want, and you can just not scroll down to the message board. otherwise...i gotta respect you for that last comment, you're right: they're aren't fucking burger king. i mean for crying out loud, they don't take our requests at the actual concerts...so why would they for the dvd. Fuck BR!

i think you all need to quit bitchin and moaning about how you think BR should run their band. what is so wrong with just appreciating what they put out there for what it is, rather than picking it apart and acting offended that they didn't call you up 1st and make you their band manager. Better yet, get out there, start your own band and do things how you think they should be done. Bad religion is not fucking Burger King ok, they arent going to do everything your way!

We're Only Gonna Die, wooo! Love that song. Although like others said, The Defense should really be in there. Turn on the Light'd be nice too.

I really want all BR songs ever made, but I guess there isn't enough space for that on a DVD. So let's enjoy what we get.

i agree with everyone thats complaining. if you really look at the set list, it has 30 songs, but only 7 of them are songs that were recorded after 1995. Like Strange Denial pointed out, its like they forget all about TNA and NS. Its like Bad Religion doesn't realize that the people that are going to be at these shows are pretty much their long-time loyal fans...BR is no longer in the stage of their carreer where the hipster bandwagon jumpers are gonnna go to their shows. We would love to hear songs from those two albums. The first time I ever saw them live was on the New America tour. They literally played 4 songs from that album then...and none from NS. Why are those the lost albums...

OK! It?s BR and it will be a great DVD! But why the hell they do not include Beyond Electric Dreams and All There Is?! Didn?t they even play Atheist Peace at least at one night of the recordings? These are songs people want to hear and see! Sorry to say but I have heard Infected in at least 20 versions live during the last years and looked forward to some of the new songs on the DVD! The material is recorded so give the people what they want! They waited for it almost a whole damn year!!!

It's like writing for blind eyes. One thing: this message thing should be all re-arranged, with the oldest post being on the top. Because people seem to comment without reading on to see it's nothing really to comment about.

Bad Religion have ca. 215 songs (including unreleased and b-sides). To satisfy each and everyones request for a setlist would never be doable. So, instead of moaning about what's left out, cheer about what's included? We ALL have personal favorites, so do they (greg, jay, brett, greg, brian, brooks). Take this into consideration, before voicing your 'all-so-important' views on setlists.

I'm happy they didn't forget 10 in 2010...but I'm very surprised they didn't include BEYOND ELECTRIC DREAMS...since they performed that in both Palladium dates...
and we needed at least The Defense and ALL THERE IS...but it's still very worth it!
I can't wait to the shots from the 81-83 era...
anyway...I'll take this chance to suggest people to join the BAD RELIGION SHARING CLUB...check the interact section to know how :))
