after further listens i think the sound is very good and will be better when played on my tv.....im just used 2 listening 2 distorted bootlegs hehe

dont judge the sound by those mp3s, it seems more that its a poor ripping quality, you cant expect to have a good sounding stereo mp3 when you rip a 5.1 mixed digital track. there is a good reason why many dvds have a 5.1 dd track and an additional stereo track. but even on a stereo tv it should sound a lot better , cause dvd players can downmix a 5.1 to a good stereo or dolby surround stream.

is it just me or do the guitars sound weak....lacking power....and overall it sounds too perfect....probably why it took so long to come out....sounds more like a studio album that a live show.

I'll rip the tracks. They'll end up being standard 320Kbps MP3 files though, but they still sound good. I don't know how to make them surround sound, and I assume they would take quite a bit of space.

"Do MP3's support 5.1 channel audio?" only if the ripper used a special codec, (fraunhofer institut has one). normal mp3 are stereo, but you could try to use dolby pro logic on those, that would be 4.1, or 5.1 with pro logic 2, or even 6.1/7.1 with pro logic2x. but the quality would be far from dolby digital 5.1 .

drumming sounds good. guitars not loud enough. will prob sound better on my tele rather than these crapy speakers. harmonies a bit better than normal, i suspect some doctoring there.
