Song meaning
Greg G.: "That's a song kinda dedicated to my son, it's kinda like Pink Floyd's 'Welcome to the Machine'. It's saying if you're going to be controlled by other people, then you're gonna have to accept a life of submission and it's something that you hopefully don't want to do. So this is supposed to give all those teenagers some hope that they don't have to submit to some outdated, rigid, nonsensical belief system. And it's not just traditional religion I'm rallying against here. I mean it could be, you know, the rigidity of their athletics coach. I use the word rigidity for a reason. You cannot be creative if people won't allow you some flexibility from their rigid belief system. That's what one of the real poisons of religion is, its rigidity. And that's one of the beautiful things about science and naturalism, its flexibility and its fluidity. And all you have to do is experiment, make a discovery, and verify it. And we have to reshape the foundation of what we call truth."
