Jay's main bass is a 1977 Fender P-Bass, which is white.
His backup bass is a hybrid of a 1963 AV Fender body with a Schecter neck. It has a "badass" bridge, which he ordered online and is probably a forgery.
He used his 1964 stock Fender P-Bass to record Age of Unreason (album).
Originally, Jay used an Ampeg SVT Classic head and 8x10 cabinet, but with it being a tube head, it kept breaking and had to be fixed all the time. He now uses an Orange 4 stroke 500 head, which is a solid state amp, and is now discontinued. He owns two, one for a backup. He uses these with an Orange 8x10 cabinet.[1]
