Jay mentioned on facebook that a North American tour is planned for October and a South American tour for early next year.

Extra tidbit - This will be the eighth time Bad Religion will be doing a South American tour.

I'm hoping for Ottawa (I guess in late October??), but that might get skipped over in what seems like only a month long tour which needs to cover a lot of ground.
I'll make the trip to Montreal (if they don't play Ott or Mtl then I'll declare it an invalid "North American tour") but I have no idea where to go there.

I totally agree with you cuentosdepapel... I saw also Social Distortion at Teatro Flores (it was fucking amazing I must say).. that would be a good place for BR to play.. also Teatro Colegiales (it would be much better since I'm only 25 min away haha) or any small place like these ones
Also I agree regarding on happened with Attaque 77 @ quilmes rock festival.. but what can I say? it's just another shitty argentinian band nowadays (I liked them years ago, but now I have no any respect for them), also agree on the big festivals thing (I guess we all do)
Regards.

Last time they came i was not able to see them because of the shitty schedule of the Quilmes Rock agenda. The hilarious thing was that the fuckers from Attaque 77 played after BAD RELIGION!!! Is this some kind of joke? If you have some fucking respect for a REAL PUNK ROCK band they should have let them play at least at 7 PM. I couldn't make it to the BR show, so fucking sad. Hope they play in Teatro Flores or Colegiales, I saw Social D there and was awesome.
Regarding the Brazil stuff, that's just right, they're waaaaay better in the organization of shows, here you have a couple of idiots trying to grab more money and put together bands like BR with Las Pelotas... just unbearable.
cheers folks.

According to Jay in the Ask Jay thread:
it starts on oct 7, we're in chicago on the 8th... thats about it so far. we'll probably go into mid nov,
don't want to say any locations as those are always subject to change until the tour is finished

oh.. one more thing...on 2001 I payed TWICE the price of the ticket to see them at Obras Sanitarias.. on 2007 I just payed half of that price...
was it paying TWICE worth it?? OH YES, OF COURSE IT WAS.. and I'd do it again if necessary.
Do I PREFER to pay twice the price of a ticket to see that kind of show?? OF COURSE.. and I'd pay for it too
nothing more to say about this disscusion.

If for beeing cheap, you all prefer to see BR at 5pm in the middle of the week in a poor festival, I feel sorry for all of you. I rather to pay 150 pesos or whatever it costs, if it means to see them as the headlining act of the show in a small place (like Obras Sanitarias 2001), without all those crappy festival bands instead of assisting to a stupid festival . It seems that you all care more about the money that you have to pay instead of the quality of the show.
QUALITY OR QUANTITY? I definitely prefer QUALITY
i don't know if the "five dates in a small venue" thing was true. but i think they like playing festivals, just as they do like playing in smaller venues. What i think is that, if they would had done it in obras, the tickey would have been much more expensive and the show would have sell out, resulting in less people being able to see them. I don't exactly know their criteria to choose venues, but probably they prefer doing just one show with all people there, cheaper ticket, best pay, and free time to do some other things. and also it's always more secure to make an arragement with some big company than to do it with some beginner promoters.
the quilmes rock was badly organized? yes, but not thaat much.
would it have been better if they'd played in obras? probably yes.
Exacto.

The promoters didn't treat them bad, that was what they offered to Bad Religion that was what they CHOSE. BR could have refused to play at 5 p.m and play for a local promoter, but they did it for a few more dolars. According to what Mr Jones said , they had a choice to play in another place and they chose to play in a festival at 5pm
It's not promoters fault, that was what the band decided

I don't know what the promoter was at that time... one thing is for sure, it would have been MUCH better than playing at 5 pm for a poor crowd in a poor festival and bad organized like that one was. It would have been in Obras Sanitarias like in 2001, or maybe in a smaller place like "teatro colegiales/flores". Any other placer would have been much better that River Plate on a wednesday at 5 pm for God sake!!!

Yeah, let's just hope they get to play in a more decent place next time, and that it doesn't cost 150 pesos. Like Obras or something. I do like Obras. Or Ciudad, I'm more fond of open places.

Here goes the translation for this (sorry):
I don't quite understand why you talk shit about Diego when he's absolutely RIGHT, Bad Religion comes down to South America every one or two years (I mean to Brasil), and they play at least 5 shows... and they call it a "south american" tour? the least thing they do is to play in south america... what the guy tried to say is that he's pissed off about this because they go out and play 15334 shows only in one country.. and I'm with him on this because it's 100% true... I'm also with you guys when you say that the promoters and organizers that plan shows down here are gangsters , you're absolutely right about it too... but I can't feel that BR is doing something to make a complete tour... when they played at the Quilmes Rock festival, an independentet promotor offered them to do a show with Bad Religion as the headlining act (I think it was to play at the Obras Sanitarias stadium) but as the Quilmes Rock offered them a few more dolars, they preferred to play at 5 PM (a shitty hour) as the first band of the day in a shitty festival instead of playing they alone, with more crowd in a better place only for their own.
Instead of talking shit about him, take a look about what the band does too.
PD: Hope you guys understood my translation, it's the best I can do :D

also, i think this time they will come to argentina. i think jay said that when they played only in brazil was because they had some free time and brazilian promoters made an offer.. so it was like an unplanned tour. But this time it's more like a real tour that the band wanted to do.
and don't talk shit on local promoters because without them we'd be doomed.

By the way, i think i can say that i'm pretty sure that brazil has the most solid fan base in south america... just in case.
but there's always be people complaining, whining and bithin about everything... it's easier sit up on your *** and write stuff (you know what word i wanna use instead of "stuff" tip: starts with S :P) instead of actually doing stuff (this time i actually meant "stuff")..
this is the same here in Brazil, like fans who lives on north who normally are complaining about bad religion always playing only on south.

Seriously? are there some people yet complaining about bad religion coming mostly only to Brazil? I agree that South America isnt all about Brazil. If I live in one of those countries (except argentina. i'd never live anywhere close to the hell itself LOL - just FYI, *IT IS A JOKE*, dont take it serious) i'd be complaining too. But... Come on... You shouldnt blame the band themselves for not going to your country.. Why dont you call some people you know and start a huge network asking for a bad religion gig? Someone, sometime, it will reach someone with good contacts enough to bring bad religion to your town. It isn't that hard. It's all about networking and interests... The band wants to make money, you want to enjoy a good show. And a promoter wants to make money anyway... So.. Instead of complaining that they call three shows in Brazil as a South American Tour, why dont you spread the word around your local fan base? Do something. isnt just that simple but it works sometimes...
as far i know, this is how and why Curitiba had BR shows most of the times they came down there. also it worked for NOFX Pennywise NFAA Social D and.. oh yeah, Face to Face...

Hope this time a "south american" tour includes something more than just "Brazil" , oh yeah... there's a lot of countries besides this one.. maybe you remember ARGENTINA? oh yeah, you came down here twice.. so stop ignoring us like you did on the last tours and this time include us.. Brazil is just a part of south America.. not the whole fucking continent. Otherwise call it "brazilian tour" , or you're will be insulting us thinking about us like we were "brazilians" :)
Tampoco hacía falta tirarle mierda a los brasileros :s Además es muy probable que no hayan venido porque la organización local es una MIERDA.
Y si, estaría bueno que nos consideren como "Sudamerica" también.
Like ZIGOTO said, it depends of the promoters...you coould ask Jay about this

Jay said one time that this depends more on promoters tahn on the band will to play some countries. I don't Know in Argentina, but here BR have a pretty solid fan base.
And please, don't start this rivalrie here.
