This was actually one of my favorite BR shows in a while. The crowd was pretty mellow up front. In fact, I was at the book signing event earlier in the evening and I took a cab to the venue. I was able to jump right in front even though the doors had been open for about 40 minutes (nearly against the rail stage right). Not a lot of pushing and shoving, which is kind of weird for a BR show, like the shows down in LA where I usually see them. That was a nice change. I did notice that, besides me, there were only a few people who were really really into the band up front (meaning: knew all the worlds, going crazy while they were playing, etc.). I was able to meet a couple folks from the brpage which was a highlight, and picked up a bunch of shirts that I don't have. Although the ones I really wanted were already sold out earlier in the tour.
Off With Their Heads were ok. Nothing great, but they weren't horrible. Bouncing Souls had good energy and had some good tunes. The singer had a very unique stage presence which I really liked; the drummer was smoking weed on stage during the show. 11/23/2010 at 21:10

Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Highlights for me were the opener - "Do What You Want"; "Sanity"; Generator; and two of the four songs they played from The Dissent of Man - "Only Rain" (favorite song of the evening) and "The Devil In Stitches".

agree with Alan on the security thing, that was fairly impressive actually. I watched a lot of people bounce over that barricade and those guys seemed like they were going out of their way to catch everybody safely and send them on their way.

The Regency is a good spot, I've been to dozens of shows there. Security is very cool and sound is decent as long as you don't stand under the balcony where there's an echo. Also, there is not a mosque on top; the building was originally a Masonic temple (big difference) but is no longer being used as such. Capacity is 1350.

i really enjoyed this show. i was in the circle pit for most of bouncing souls and all of bad religion. had a really good time! my only complaint was that the sound setup made graffin's voice sound all weird. maybe that's cuz i was up near the front tho. off with their heads kicked ass but i only knew like three of their songs so I had trouble getting too into them.

I've been to a lot of shows in SF, but I guess this was my first time here. I had no complaints. It didn't feel too packed, got out pretty quick too. Security at the door seemed to be pretty thorough, which slowed things down a bit.
Good show, I enjoyed the set list. This is actually the 3rd time I saw them this year, nice to see them finish up here in SF. 11/20/2010 at 12:49

Short video from last night. No full songs, but clips of 10 in 2010 and a few others.

Sorry I was wrong about the venue, Hope was at the Great American Music Hall. This isn't terribly different actually, but they're a lot smarter about seating for the folks who choose to sit. The balcony at GAMH is a complete waste if you're not at the rail, where the Regency has stadium style seating on both sides, much more viewer friendly.

brsf is right, this venue sucks. I saw Hope Sandoval there last year and it was horrible. Couldn't get to a good spot to see her very much at all, may as well have stayed home and listened to her CD in the dark.

no its not that kari, cant be
as this hall is well lets just say every show I attend here never sells out.. its floor has to hold like 2-3 HOB's and then you have the balcony... imo its bouncing souls + BR thats doing this.. BS are pretty big and co- with BR? well lets say... the tickets for the next days show, arent even close to selling out.. so where is that logic? imo its about both bands XD maybe a little of socal too :P but mainly bouncing soul fans, 10-1 the floor wont be filled until they play, sorta like blink vs br ahhh 11/03/2010 at 23:58

this is one of the worst venues ever I think they just picked it because of the jewish mosque on top! lol grand ballroom.. sure perfect for dancing and dinners.. not punk last time you had to stand in one of 2 places to even hear anything but echos.. and sitting in seats is binocular bad.. no gooood hope we get era sets to make up for it! ahem sigh 10/24/2010 at 20:38
