It has taken years for the Do What You Want and All Good Soldiers videos to surface. Before they could be found on Youtube, Jay said: "I'm not sure where the 'Do What You Want' video is, it's pretty good, but the 'All Good Soldiers' vid is in a landfill somewhere in Los Angeles..." "Do What You Want was great, but very rough. Would be cool to see it now if we could ever find it. all good soldiers may have been a little cheesy. I only remember seeing it once with Brett and we both laughed and said 'no one can ever see this'".
According to Jay, the video for Do What You Want is probably the one which can be found on Punk Rock Songs (The Epic Years).
There is also a video of 21st Century (Digital Boy) for the Against The Grain (album) version that has never been released:
Jay: "...there's this video for 21st Century (Digital Boy), that new one with live footage from Europe that no one has ever seen before. It's not that one we made in the pool. That was shot on the 1991 Against The Grain tour. The person that shot it was one of Greg's friends; he's a friend of all of ours. He was working at a company at the time and when it was all said and done they wanted a ton of money from us. We said 'No, fuck you. We're not giving you any money'. So the video lost its purpose and just vanished. I got a copy of it on tape, but I was never going to put it on the internet because they didn't want us to do it and we didn't pay for it. How it got out onto the internet I don't know. Things will eventually surface." Currently, the video cannot be found. [1]
Trivia
Brian said he doesn't like making video clips and thinks they often don't reflect what the song is about. He'd rather not have to do them at all.
Jay: "We make the worst videos in the history of music videos, and no one can stop us! HAHA!"
Graffin: "We make them [music videos] and the reason that they aren't shown is that a lot of them just haven't been as mainstream as the major type of videos that they show on MTV."
Jay in 2011: "I don't like to make videos too much."
In the September 1997 issue of SPIN about "rock videos becoming extinct" on MTV, it said: "Bad Religion, who made two videos for their two previous albums, have decided to hold off for their newest record [No Substance], focusing attention instead on the Warped Tour". It also mentioned that the band used money that could have been spent on a video to have their tent and radio transmitter for the Warped Tour. Greg said: "We're taking the money and putting it into social interaction."
