This just in: some new details about the Do What You Want book!

• Each chapter in the audiobook is introduced with a short clip from a song that represents the era being discussed. It’s a little thing, but one that will elevate the audiobook to the next level.
• The band will be getting together on Zoom to discuss Do What You Want in the near future, and Jim Ruland - the author of the book - will be moderating the discussion. If you could ask the band anything, what would you want to know?

Here's an interview with Jim Ruland, the writer of Bad Religion's upcoming book 'Do What You Want'. To pull one quote from the interview:

“Just how they speak to each other with the same lingo and anecdotes that go back decades,” he said. “It’s just inside joke after inside joke and them giving each other a hard time. It really did remind me of back when I was in the Navy. It was endlessly entertaining and these guys are all really smart. Every band has the one smart guy; well, these guys are all incredibly intelligent and I’m talking well beyond musical knowledge or talent with their instruments or savviness in the studio. They’re all readers, they’re all engaged in politics, science and the arts. There’s a lot going on in their minds, so it was a pleasure to talk to them and get to pick their brains about things and for them to share their stories.”

“Ruland (the writer) did a great job of streamlining those events and getting the actual facts. One of the funniest quotes in there is from an unexpected source: Peter [Finestone], our old drummer,” said Graffin. “Peter saying something like ‘Whenever Brett and Greg were in a room, there wasn’t much oxygen left for anything else.’ Reading that now, I’m like, I didn’t know I had that effect on Peter, but I love that honesty included in the book.”
